“A Guest House like no other! It was the second time I stayed at Republica Guest House, and it was as perfect as the first time. It’s for me a sign of excellence, when an accomodation manages to maintain its high quality over time. The room and bathroom are comfortable, clean and spacious. The bedding is really comfortable, and the room gets cleaned up daily. The breakfast is delicious, homemade with fresh and local products. You truly feel at home when at Republica Guest House: the house is arranged with everything you’d need and has a very charming and welcoming atmosphere. Graça and João are one of a kind: they make their very best to make you have a great stay. They are kind, available, welcoming and happy to give recommendations and interesting information about the city. “This room was a wonderful surprise, starting with the delivery of a complimentary glass of wine on check in. The room was airy and roomy, and very comfortable. There were two bedrooms, each with their own bathroom, and a spectacular modern shower. Windows opened to let in lots of air. The location was right in the University area walking distance to everywhere. The breakfast was delivered to our room in a large basket with lovely hot coffee in a thermos, fresh orange juice and all the continental favorites. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful in every way, from providing complimentary bottled water, to helping us navigate and find things in the city. Lovely people.”
