Definitely exceeded expectations. Views from the room were incredible and room was cute and comfortable. Was greeted with a glass of wine and pastry, and breakfast was brought straight to my door! Highly recommend.

Perfect stay in Coimbra! Location is ideal. Parking is available in the streets (ask host). In room breakfast was very convenient. The room itself was amazing. Amazing welcome when we checked in. (We travelled with our 1.5 yo baby)

I guess they forgot to stock the coffee cups and coffee but we didn't want to bother them as everything else was so good! very nice staff.

Staff was wonderful! We had the top floor and they carried our suitcases all the way for us! no elevator here but view was insane!!

Very steep walk to downtown, as it was an old building ceiling was low and had to watch your head, be aware that a fraternity house is close by, so because the room was right on the street you could hear party goers and people and cars going past.

Staff very welcoming and informative upon check-in. Took the time to show us on the map some points of interest such as tours and restaurants. Shown to our room, we had deluxe suite so very comfortable. Staff replaced bottles of water each day, linen, cleaned room and brought breakfast to the room at requested time. Overall a pleasant stay, close to downtown and with some amazing views.

The space was awkward but it’s an old building. They did an amazing job with it already.

The staff were exceptional. They were so friendly and helpful. Also, it was a steep climb up to our rooms and they helped with our heavy luggage.

Unfortunately, all the walls can be heard and the activities of all the neighbors can be heard. Some guests arrived very late and their room was right above ours. Unfortunately, they trampled and ranted there until midnight. It was hard to sleep. I understand that it is an old building and it can happen that all the floors creak and everyone's steps are heard.

Very interesting and distinctive interior. Very different from other hotels. We also liked the location in the middle of historical town. Close to walk to the shopping and restaurant streets.

It seemed like the the bathroom got all wet super easily which was a little frustrating, and during the night we could hear the students walking, chanting, and singing right outside the door of our room since it opened up to the street. It was okay because we only spent one night there, so it was an interesting experience, but it definitely would've gotten old if we stayed multiple nights and that were happening every night.

Very difficult to find. Need to provide a land mark location because you have to park and walk to the location. I went round and round up and down very very (!)narrow streets/alleys and couldn’t find it. Luckily a local pointed me in the right direction…lol

From the outside it looks very plain, but the room was very nicely decorated. There was a circular jacuzzi tub in our room that was awesome after hiking around town all day.

Solar Antigo Luxury is well-located near the funicular & near key university locations. Our apartment was very comfortable with funky decor. Everyone was incredibly helpful, especially assisting to work around our booking error. Definitely a great choice for Coimbra. We were apprehensive about the parking challenges, but helpful guidance from reception revealed parking to be no problem at all.

Washrooms were very small but this is medieval building so narrow spaces should be expected.

We had a very memorable stay at Coimbra Solar Antigo hotel. Hotel is located at the core of the old Coimbra nearby the Unvirestity. Breakfast was brought into our room in the morning and it was pretty good. Staff especially on the reception was welcoming and very caring, comfort and cleaninnes were exceptional. Overall this stay left us with quite unusual feeling because we felt that we got not only night at the hotel but a whole lot more of the unique experience with old historical buuilding, very unusual but quite comfy room design, beatufil city views from the small windows, and even singing studetns in their black robes on the old town streets.

Amazing stay!! Fabulous location in the heart of old town Coimbra. Walkable to all attractions and fabulous restaurants. We loved the welcome drink and cake and breakfast was delicious. Accomodation was amazing… comfy bed, beautiful decor and breathtaking views of the city. Highly recommend!!

Everything was Perfect

We loved EVERYTHING about this place. The service is EXCEPTIONAL and the room was perfect. Complimentary champagne and a slice of cake to great you when you check in, Complimentary beverages in your room and breakfast brought to your room each morning. We LOVED IT!!!

The staff were amazing and went above and beyond to look after my wife when she was unwell. Location is excellent, only a short walk to restaurants and the university. Unique styling inside each room. Extra touches such as a welcome drink and breakfast served in the room.
