“We were given rooms 3 and 10 for our family group of four. Room 3 was quite frankly magnificent. The room came with an enormous memory foam bed, sofa, two armchairs, coffee table and large TV. Working sash windows enabled us to make the most of the incredible river views and grounds. While there was no apparent air-conditioning, a very powerful fan was included within the room and that together with the breeze from the river kept the room cool (on a late summers day at around 24C). Other facilities included a walk-in wardrobe with safe, a mini-fridge and very nice drinks-making items. The bathroom was large and had all we needed, with a shower over bath and a range of toiletries. Room 10 was a smaller twin room but very comfortable and with the added benefit of a balcony with small table and chairs. The club itself was elegant but sadly we didn't have time to make the most of the leisure facilities. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. They informed us of a footpath from the hotel that took us to the centre of Henley in a couple of minutes, much quicker than we had anticipated from the map. We are hoping to return at some point to enjoy a longer stay and to try out the swimming pool.”
