Friendly host and awesome breakfast. Was able to leave gluten free food in fridge and use frypan. Liz was very knowledgable about surrounding area a shops and gave us a map to tour around. Tuesday morning fruit market stands were awesome. Dogs Choco and negra were gentle and adorable addition.

The staff helped carry our bags to the hotel, which is located on one of the stone-paved streets with a small water canal running through it. The location is excellent and is just across from one of the hiking trail entrances to Las colcas de Pinkuylluna, which we could see from our room. It was nice to hear the sound of rushing water from the Andes at night. The room was smaller than we expected, but it was still very clean, we had hot water, and the bed was very comfortable. Elizabeth is very welcoming and treated us well. We enjoyed breakfast in the glass enclosed area on the rooftop. From there we could see the Ollantaytambo archaeological site just across the way. There is also a rooftop open-air area where we enjoyed our take out lunch that we picked up in town. Everything is within walking distance. We wish we stayed longer. This area is absolutely beautiful.

Everything was great. We were there at end of dry season so water was turned off from 10 to 7. But this applied everywhere including top hotels in Cusco.

The views are exceptional! Rooftop patio is beyond words. Location is fantastic. Right in the center of city and one of the ruins literally right outside the door. The breakfast was the best in Peru we’ve had over 10 days. Rooms were nice, small but all you need. Bed was super comfortable. Bathroom was adequate. Overall an outstanding value and great place to launch your adventures from.

If you are older like us, please do not bring heavy suitcases. Your luggage will not roll easily over the cobblestones that you need to traverse to get to the entrance to the guest house. Fortunately our young taxi driver picked up our heaviest suitcase and carried it for us.

The hosts were extremely welcoming to us. We stayed three nights total at this property going to and from Machu Picchu. We would gladly stay there again should we ever return to Ollantaytambo.

Our stay was absolutely wonderful.

The view of the archeological sites right out our room window and also from the rooftop patio. Breakfast on the patio was wonderful. Proprietress took time to answer my questions, very informative.

Not. A. Single. Thing. The staff was prepared for us to show up, and accommodated every need we had. The dogs on the property were even sweeter than the owners.

The breakfast is served on the rooftop and with a gorgeous panoramic view, made hot to order. One day we had to leave early and the team made us to go bags and was able to accommodate my husband’s multiple allergies. Directly across from the doors of the hotel is steps up to visit ruins. The room was clean and the hospitality was unmatched. One night four of us decided to buy a bottle of wine and relax on the rooftop. The staff ensured we were comfortable and had everything we needed to relax and stargaze.

Everything was great

We were so lucky to find Kamma guesthouse. Liz was amazing, she was kind and patient. Liz organised a Sacred Valley tour for us that we had to cancel at short notice due to illness, Liz was very understanding . Our room was spotlessly clean and comfortable. We really appreciated the takeaway breakfast as we were leaving early.

The hosts were fantastic, very welcoming and gave good information about the town. Lis spoke good English. The hotel is spotlessly clean and the bed is very comfortable. It is located 2 mins from the main square and directly opposite the entrance to pinkuylluna. Breakfast was sumptuous with fresh juice, eggs, fruit, rolls and good coffee.

Location, amenities, and welcoming staff

The women that run the place were incredible! So hospitable and welcoming. Liz spoke amazing English and was kind enough to provide a map of the area with some highlights which was super cool and helpful. Breakfast in the morning on the roof was super delicious and the location was perfect. We could not be happier with our experience at Kamma Guest House and would definitely return if we’re ever back in the area!

Best stay in Peru. Great value for money. It is clear the owners take care of their hotel. It is spotless clean, nice rooms with comfy beds and linen and nice breakfast. The owner is very helpful and always responds very fast. I cannot stress enough how much we enjoyed the place.

Extremely welcoming, kind, and accommodating staff, very comfortable bed, clean bathroom / hot shower, great breakfast with an amazing view on the rooftop, peaceful, and with a great location close to the main plaza and also directly adjacent to the entrance to hike to the Pinkuyllana archaeological site. We had booked two different hotels for our visit to Ollantaytambo (one at the beginning, and another when we returned to Ollantaytambo from Aguas Calientes), and Kamma is without a doubt the one we’d choose to stay at again!

Nice hotel in a small quieter street of Ollantaytambo yet close to the Plaza de Armas. rooms are nice and comfy, the staff super nice and helpful and breakfast was excellent (freshly squeezed orange juice, scrambled eggs, fresh fruits, bread butter and jam and more !) The view from the rooftop (where breakfast is served) on the fortress is incredible!

The place was very clean and lovely located in a nice side street. But most of all, Liz is a fantastic host and lovely person. We had some health problems and she was very comprehensive and helpful. Thank you for everything Liz! You are the best!
