Cabin got v hot overnight, even with window open. We eventually had to open the cabin door. (We would advise anyone with mobility problems to check stairs and cabin access.)

We loved it, certainly different. A little cramped but that was expected, lovely atmosphere with all guests chatting. East access to all places. Continental breakfast was plentiful. Bonus - we stayed on as the barge moved location, a different view of canal life.

You must avoid staying on the Avanti at all costs. Please. My partner and I couldn't bear to remain on the ship our entire stay; we had to leave early to get way from this place. I will explain why below. Your personal quarters: * The ship is absolutely plagued with disgusting humidity issues. Your room will have mold on all the walls and inside the storage cabinet. The room will have a thin layer of moisture and condensation everywhere, which will seep into all of your belongings. Your PASSPORTS and any other paper material will ABSORB this moisture, damaging your property. If you open the window to help alleviate this, your room will be cold, unbearably so at night, and guess what? There's no in-room heating. The hot water radiator does not work. * Your room will also be unbearably dusty, which is especially discomforting for the guest sleeping on the bottom bunk. Every nook and cranny is filled with dust bunnies. You'll feel the dust in your nose and in your throat. * Your room is incredibly cramped. There's very little space to store luggage and clothing, and you can't sit upright on either bunk as there's just not enough height. I wouldn't have minded this so much if the rest of the room wasn't so unbearable. * The counter of your room's in-room sink will not be properly sealed, and will consistently leak water all along where the sink sits next to the bottom bunk, getting your bedding, the mattress, and yourself wet. Did I mention the mold? * Walls are PAPER-thin; You will hear every noise next to you. * There's no wifi in your personal quarters. The owners say this is to keep noise levels down in the rooms at night. I think it's because it would cost too much to upgrade the wifi system to reach further than just the dining area. Facilities: * There's one men's toilet room and two women's. All reek of human waste * There are three showers.

At first, the abstract experience of being on a house boat was fun. The nautical vibe of the rooms was exciting having never been on a boat before. It was also a fun experience being on the boat as it moved from one location to another. The included breakfast is a decent value. Nothing crazy, no hot food, but there was a good selection of ingredients to make a sandwich, options for cereal, juice, coffee and tea. There was a decently-sized minifridge provided in the common dining area for you to store your own food and drinks. This is where the pleasantries end.

Damp, water came through the ship window and made our bed wet, we let them know but they didn't take any action. Awful experience

Zaandam location was less convenient for me personally however host had left excellent instructions for finding the boat after it had moved so we were able to find it easily

So comfortable and when docked in Amsterdam the location was perfect

I cant fault anything.

A lovely passenger ship with friendly staff. I was fortunate to have my own cabin and so had some room to myself. The breakfast onboard was amazing with continental cold meats - ham, salami, chicken, breakfast cereal, yoghurts, toast/bread, pastries, fruit juicea, tea/coffee. Annie made me feel welcomed onboard and I recommend this to anyone who fancies a change from the norm.

Room was very tiny but it is exactly how it seems in the pictures.

It was a great experience with good breakfast, very good location and clean rooms. Ship did not shake and the night was very quite. They kept our luggage after we did the check out. For that price it was a really nice accomodation.

Thank You for amazing stay in Amsterdam. Everything was ok, rooms and showers are clean, breakfast was wonderful. One thing only - pay attention to the location of the boat, we were looking for it for two hours.

The beds are a little bit narrow, but this is boat life I guess, and for the price that is perfect.

Value for money. The location is perfect from the central station, and it's cool to get there by a few minutes of ferry ride anytime of the day. The staff is so nice and helpful. We were there with a group of friends and could use the common area on the boat.

The room had strong tobacco smell that we just could not get rid off, no matter how long we let the window open. A room switch was not possible. The messages on booking were answered only after a very long time.

Good location, unique experience to stay in a boat. The staff comes quickly when one calls them on telephone.

I was expecting a spiral staircase of some sorts on a boat of course but this one is very sketchy, good to mention in the description. The showers had black mould. A small shelf in each shower would be helpful to put your own toiletries on and/or some clothing.

Great location near centraal station with the train & trams, short walk into the city centre. Location felt safe. Breakfast included was a lovely perk. Overall clean. Shower water pressure.

The rooms are like a prison cell. not even. Showers and Toilette were disgusting. For 85 euros per night. Really doesn't worth it. Better party all night long than staying there . I a must say the rooms were a 10.... square meters
