We greatly enjoyed our stay in Yorozuya. It was a once-in-a-lifetime experience, staying in a traditional Ryokan. The hot spring baths were amazing, the staff was incredibly hospitable and friendly, everything was clean and the rooms were set up in traditional style with tatami mats. One of the highlights is definitely the food: this was AMAZING, with spectacular dishes all beautifully presented and with wonderful flavours and tastes. We greatly enjoyed our stay here and would not hesitate to come back again if we ever visit Japan again in the future: Yorozuya is highly recommended and was the highlight of our trip to Japan!

The ryokan is very well organized, everyone is focused on providing a superior customer experience. I selected Yorozuya because of its beautiful onsen but I came away with outstanding memories of the kind and helful staff, the amazing breakfast and dinner experience.

this was the first visit to YOROZUYA after many years. always an exceptional experience. staff was great! Sakamoto-san was very accommodating in our SAKURA room for meals. will be sure to visit again. maybe stay in KIKU room?!?!

Excellent ryokan with large rooms and service. Helpful staff, wonderful traditional breakfast and dinner. The ryokan has two onsens in different styles (modern and old) with indoors and outdoors springs. Traditional clothes are provided. Located relatively close to the Wild snow monkey park.

The staff were super friendly and helpful despite language differences. Onsen facilities are good, especially the outside pools. Traditional Japanese dinner was exceptional

There are not enough words to explain our experience at Yorozuya. We got to know the Ryokan hospitality by first hand. The employees were very respectful and considerate, the food experience one that nobody should miss and the Onsen facilities great. Room was clean and spacious and the futon bed comfy. This experience definitely changed our perception about hospitality for ever. Thank you Yorozuya!

Not much. I didn’t like that a feature in the ladies’ outdoor bath is closed. Other than that, every aspect of this stay was smooth and pleasant.

A true ryokan experience with an exceptional food service. This heritage building is well-kept, dignified, and an absolute delight. There was no need to leave the building to have a satisfying bath—indoor or outdoor. I loved the private bath, and the overall tradition of the ryokan. The staff was so accommodating of our late check-in, took care to deliver our luggage to the station while we go to the Snow Monkey Park, and were attentive to our needs.

My only comment was as we arrived early I think we could have used the onsen. We went to see monkeys but they were not there so just walked aimlessly till 3 pm. If we could have used esrlier would have been beneficial

Fantastic ryokan experience. From start to finish the staff were exemplary and there was a high standard of service. The 7 course dinner was fantastic and then onsens were very beautiful. The breakfast again matched the superb dinner the night before. Best experience of our Japan trip on reflection.

The onsen, the food, the spacious room, and the big room. It was my third time coming back from overseas, I see it as a retreat to my inner self every time. A place I can truly relaxed. That onsen is just exceptional, love the history and vibes. The dinner + breakfast is beyond description, you just need to take the time and have to experience yourself. I can feel that the food and serving were all done with their inner hearts. Thank you!

Great proximity to Yudanaka Station. Lovely personal touches such as an illustrated breakfast menu & matcha served upon arrival. The Momoyama bath is not to be missed & the staff is very kind with language disparity.
