Everything about the place is great. Onsen two minutes away. Great food nearby. Chairlift just up the road. Ski hire across the road. On top of this, the host is incredible and will have you feeling like a local in no time.

Great place in Nozawa. We enjoy having a large common kitchen to make food in. Stuff was very helpfull and friendly. Comfotable Japanese style rooms. Location isn't in the centre of the village which was a plus for us.

Easy access to equipment hire / ski lifts. Close proximity to some simple cafes / restaurants. Some distance from main food area - although easy walking distance. Super helpful staff will assist with any advice / booking plans.

Super clean and spacious rooms with tatami setting. Kain and his team were friendly and always helpful. We stayed for five nights and enjoyed the proximity to a great local onsen and convenient location in nozawa. Its ~8 mins from the village and a block away from the closest chair lift.

Everything! The lodge style vibe was wonderful. The location was perfect with a short walk to cafes, onsens and the ski lifts. Most of all, Cain was wonderful, hospitable and so welcoming!

The owner was just amazing, very helpful and friendly. The place is superbly clean. Although not as close to the main shop areas but a nice easy 10mins walk there. Close access to ski area, it was unfortunate we only got to spend one night there but will definitely return.

The staff were excellent and Nozawa Onsen is such a great town to visit. Very accomodating, friendly and helpful. They gave us lots of information about town and made us feel very welcome. Would recommend a stay here!

Nothing relating to the accommodation A tip for eating. Pre-plan your evening dining and book ahead. (other than the ski slopes) Not much is open before 7-8 pm and walk-ins are often out of luck as they have limited seating in their little restaurants. If you can cook, this is the best option for dinner and the food from the local butcher and supermarket is great. Kains (Nozawa Peaks) kitchen has literally everything. Breakfast is fine nearby is a great bakery and the coffee is abundant.

I loved my stay here, The staff were really nice and helpful, the Beds And pillows were comfortable, the whole place was well-maintained and functional. The kitchen was a great way to socialise and was huge with loads of space. The host Kain and his gorgeous family were so accommodating and lovely. Never a problem and was so obliging to be around. And it's comforting to be able to speak directly to an English speaker at the end of a big day. His knowledge of the area was superb and the facilities were great. I had such a great time here and when we go back I will certainly stay again.

Wish we could have stayed longer!

Had an exceptional experience at Nozawa Onsen, the owners went above and beyond to accommodate us while we were there. They helped us with gear hire, lift passes and restaurant recommendations. With the pictures of the beds being on the floor, I thought they would be quiet hard but they were extremely confortable - i had the best nights sleep! The location was right off one of the runs, making it an easy downhill walk home after a long day on the slopes. Honestly couldn't recommend Nozawa Peaks enough.

More comfy pillows and a sign that ensures other guests are quiet after a certain time as our room was below the timber stairs, however, that probably would only affect the room we were in on the first floor and wasn't a massive deal.

Kain and Liz were excellent hosts. The location of Nozawa Peaks to the chairlift was amazing and wandering around the town at night to find places to eat was easy. The room and facilities were very nice, clean and comfortable. It was very handy having access to a full kitchen so that we could cook when we wanted to. We would definitely stay there again and recommend it.

Absolutely nothing! Nozawa Peaks really ticked all the boxes for us

Loved our stay here! Location is amazing, the rental shop is less than a minute away and the closest chair lift or shuttle bus to take you to other lifts is a 4 min walk. Really appreciated having the drying room too. Even though showers are shared, we never had to wait for one. The restaurant right next door, Tonkichi, is delicious too. Kain and his family were so lovely and made our stay even more enjoyable :) Would definitely stay again!

it’s traditional Japanese style witty communal facilities, so if you need a chair or a raised bed, or are an introvert, then this is not for you!

Close to gondola, ski hire across the road, short walk to village, fantastic hosts and great service. Rooms and amenities were no frills but great value for money and everything just worked! we had a great time.
