Sticky oily floor in the dining area. The tatami floor in the room is not firm. Hotel Parking is not easy to park a big van.

View and atmosphere. Having the souvenirs shop in the lobby is nice.

My parents found the shower room water and also the shower water inside the onsen rather cold. I personally found it lukewarm , and so was the onsen water. Though it is an old onsen town and facilities could be old.

The hotel is huge and rooms are spacious and well-designed. We enjoyed the experience and food selections, as well as the onsen. The hotel is located close to Jigokudani and the shopping street. Most of all, transport to the hotel from Sapporo was free and very convenient.

Loads of mold around the window of our room, can be fixed. Staff was not particularly nice except for the younger ones. The chef/manager of the buffet was rude to his employees and rushed us to eat breakfast even though it was still time (breakfast is only available during one hour in the morning which is too short if you want to have an early onsen before eating). Despite good effort in making the dinner buffet seem tasty and fun, it was absolutely tasteless for majority of the stuff. Overall looks like a quite old hotel with a weird vibe, but we liked the room and the onsen. Expensive given that we didn’t enjoy the buffet at all

The room was as in the picture, traditional and pretty. Comfy futons Yukata are available in the room Onsen was amazing, nice outdoors too

Massage services were not available on the day I stayed, and this was only something I learned after I arrived. I held off on getting a massage at my previous hotel because I thought I would be able to get (a better) one here. Just be more clear about that on the website! They also packed up breakfast before it was supposed to be closed, maybe more clarity on that as well.

Loved the onsen! The hotel was super close to Hell Valley, very convenient. The buffet was excellent!

It's a bit of walk - 10-15min - from Noboribetsu attractions (bus terminal, bear park, jigokudani), which is fine unless you have lots of luggage, especially as it can be slippery with ice. Some nice food but don't expect anything really special!

Beautiful room and hotel in general, really nice yukata robes. Good amenities (water bottle etc). The outdoor bath was nicer than the indoor one as it had lots of options, but bear in mind it is a rooftop sauna not true onsen Futons prepared by staff for you while you eat/bathe

The guest restaurant has no ventilators, fried and grilled food's smell through the restaurant, making the guest's clothes contain the smell of it. I've visited this hotel 4 years ago, In the past they have sell the cold milk at the vending machine, after a hot spring drink a cold milk is soothing, but this time I visit this hotel they have no sell fresh milk in the vending machine anymore. 4 years ago I visited here during dinner buffet have traditional Japanese show for dinner guest but seems they cannot provide this service anymore.

I like the most is the outdoor onsen! February winter time in Hokkaido , outdoor onsen is the most enjoyable!

We wanted a private onsen room, and although it was easy to make the booking, we were disappointed that the bathwater was lukewarm. I would say the privacy was there but we didn't have the enjoyment of a hot onsen bath together.

The dinner and breakfast buffet was over-the-top impressive. The varieties were there and quality wise was either good or acceptable. We really enjoyed eating our hearts out.

The Booking description mentions a kaiseki dinner is included. It is not. The hotel offers a decent dinner buffet with several classic Japanese dishes among others. But by no means a kaiseki dinner. Nor can it be ordered separately. Big disappointment!

Comfortable hotel in a a rural setting. The rooms are spacious, a combination of western style beds and a tatami area. The hotel may look a bit dated here and there but that adds to its charm. The onsen is on the top floor, partly on a terrace and worth a visit. Less clear is that the hotel offers a free shuttle service to the airport and to Sapporo. Only once a day, so inquire in advance.

They didn’t have storage service, which is quite annoying considering how pricey the place is and very inconvenient if you stay for just one night and want to enjoy the day without dragging a suitcase around.

The room was nice, the onsen was huge although the outside bath was rather small (fit about 10-15 people maybe.

The hotel is a bit old but comfortable and gets the job done. It has all the creature comforts one needs but nothing fancy. There was nothing we didn't like about the hotel.

It was our first time using an onsen, and a fabulous experience. Although the English instructions were hard to understand, they were good enough to complete the job. We opted for the buffet dinner and breakfast. It was simple but excellent.

The room was definitely cramped for 9 Westerners. Room only had one bathroom for the nine of us. Most of the staff could barely speak English, fortunately we had two members with medium-level Japanese skills. If your party is 5 or over, definitely book two rooms.

The onsen wasn't as luxurious as we thought it would be, but we had a good time. Bath was big and hot, with outside and inside variants. I definitely recommend the outside bath on floor 7 on the north building. Hotel even had karaoke rooms and some arcade and crane machines on floor B1. Food was all-you-can eat for both breakfast and dinner, which was really good and plentiful.
