The property was in an historic village, the building was an old farm storage building that had been renovated with modern bath room while preserving the vintage handcrafted wood work of the original building. Beautiful! The main door was original an a little drafty, but the one heater unit was more than adequate to heat the entire accomadation- actuall had to turn it off at night as the sleeping loft was extremely warm- very happy with this stay. The flowing brook that runs down the street next to the building- soothing and peaceful...

The unit is on the second floor and the staircase is narrow, making lifting of luggages up inconvenient.

The lighting in the room. The walls were dark brown and everything was dark, and there were minimal lights which made it hard to see into cupboards for example. The beds were SUPER hard. I know the Japanese futons are generally like this, but I found these exceptionally so. The wifi was not good for doing any consistent work, however the hosts worked hard to provide an alternative. We wished we had known about renting a car. This is not close to anything, so cost a fortune in taxis SG$30 each way generally (though shuttle is across the road if you don't mind a longer and less direct route).

The room was large and well equipped. It was quaint and we liked the local experience. It was a little confusing with the different buildings but we got used to it. Beautifully quiet and serene. Really unique - we visited some of the larger hotels for dinners/drinks, and they felt too "common" and busy. We felt like we really experience something special (accidentally as we had booked late). we loved the hot stones, and the private bath - really unusual when many other properties are all about onsens. Never hard to book, and well worth doing.

Can’t fault it.

Our room is very spacious, clean and well maintained. The common area by the reception is lovely. The property provides free drinks/sake and small nibbles during our stay there. There are also small onsen bath that we could use and that is really nice especially after a long day of skiing. The staff is also very accommodating and always help answer any questions we had.

The bed was too hard and hot water wasn’t available in the morning so we couldn’t shower as the water was freezing cold

Great place though was a bit confusing with check in and where we were actually staying (down the street). Otherwise, it was a really great place. Apartment size was good and clean, with a really nice bathroom. Very quiet and the breakfast they provided for us was appreciated. There is a convenience store about 5 mins walk that had plenty of things to purchase for dinner. I think there was also a really nice looking restaurant just down the road.

Check in building wasn't clear as there were a few buildings around.

Looks like a time-share situation... so likely only available during off-peak seasons, as the owners would want to use their alloted shares during peak periods.

The air-conditioning unit was small, extremely noisy and did not affect the temperature of the room. Although it didn't bother us, noise travels in the building and you can hear people outside your room moving up and down the hallways.

Staff were absolutely lovely and very accommodating. The room it self was comfortable and well-appointed. Breakfast was delicious, varied and filling! Toiletries and towels were changed each day.

The rooms we had were a little dark, especially at night it was very dark with only two spotlights facing the dining bench. It would have been better if the room was better lit. Also, I thought there would be Netflix for us to log in our own account, but there was none. A Smart tv w Netflix would have been great. The mattresses were also very very firm.

Love the quaint setting in older buildings. The shared space was really lovely although we never got to enjoy it much as there were always others using the space too whenever we went in. The onsen downstairs in our building was a really lovely bonus 👍🏼 great for tired muscles. I also loved very much hearing the sound of water from our window when we stayed in the He room. It was great to fall asleep to it. Our booking was good value for money, hope to be able to return in the next season at similar prices! So convening if you have a car as we are in between all the ski fields.

The rooms are dark and gloomy. No lift. Big luggage? Carry them! If coming in June, dinner can be a problem hardly any restaurants that are open.

Fantastic view from the room . Service is awesome. The room is very clean and quiet. All the facilities are great including those inside the room, the hot stone and hot bath. The location is close to Main Street and seven eleven
