Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

PhilippinesDuring check out, I had to phone them to follow up our luggages that needed to be brought at the hotel lobby. They were too slow. Room cleaning service is bad. The room was still dirty when we came back. The restaurant’s lunch buffet was terrible.

United StatesThe fit and finish of the hotel was extremely dated. Especially the rooms and the hallways leading to the rooms were worn, with stained and frayed carpets in the hallways and the stench of smoke in non-smoking rooms. The room was otherwise very pleasant and comfortable, although by no means modern.
The staff throughout my hotel stay was very professional and attentive. I was very impressed by the breakfast offerings, although the dinner options were very much on the pricey side, even for Tokyo.

AustraliaThere are many things which could have been better! Firstly, the description of rooms does not make clear the difference between 'Sea view' , 'Tokyo Bay' view and 'Rainbow Bridge' view - yes....., it's obvious when you get there, but not when you're booking a room! We assumed, wrongly, that all rooms face the city and afford fantastic views - wrong! We ended up with a view of the port and the skyrail line (see photos) - so be careful if you really want a great view from your balcony. Secondly, the hotel itself appears to survive on the Hilton name and reputation alone; this was not reflected in the standard of the rooms, facilities and service. This hotel is well past its best, and needs to be dragged into the 21st century in order to compete with some of the other fantastic hotels we have stayed in. To be fair, the furniture and fittings are of the quality you would expect for a five star establishment, but everything appeared dull and dated. Our room was no exception, with no technology (charging ports etc.) no minibar, no coffee machine, and a stained carpet; well overdue a change. However, again, to be fair, the bed was very comfortable. For a 'five-star' hotel to be charging for wifi and the use of the pool facilities nowadays is a blatant 'money grab' and i would really like the hotel management to justify these charges. We used the pool twice and paid A$100 for the 'privilege'! Ridiculous! Luckily, we spent as little time as possible in the hotel as there is so much to do in both Odaiba and in the city. Having talked to several other travellers who stayed in different hotels, we felt even more disappointed with our choice. Having absolutely loved Tokyo (this was our first visit) we will definitely return again - but not to the Hilton Odaiba.
We chose this hotel for the Hilton reputation, the views offered from the rooms and for the location (we wanted to be outside of the CBD but be close to public transport). The only plus was the location; perfect spot on the waterfront, with Aqua City, and Diver City malls within walking distance. The Yurikamome skyrail line is literally on the hotel doorstep, and we used this every day for easy access to the city. The only other good point was the breakfast; very good choice and good value.

The views from the rooms were amazing. The staff at the hotel were exceptional and the breakfast had variety. Would definitely recommend this hotel because it was a stone's throw away from the train station and very convenient if you're travelling to Tokyo Big Sight and/or city centre.
