Such an amazing spot, a superb little villa hidden in the Tuscan hills. We had a wonderful time, perfect base to explore Florence and the neighboring cities or just to relax by the pool. The restaurant serves lovely meals with the signature olive oil that is simply amazing. Shout out to the really kind staff for making our stay even more memorable. Highly recommended.

The property is nothing short of fantastic, with a wonderful staff who are kind and available for any request. The rooms are beautiful, not very large but super cozy and equipped with all the comforts you can expect. Reading some reviews here on Booking, I was a bit concerned about the noise from the highway and the breakfast buffet. But I want to reassure everyone. The highway does indeed pass close to the property, but you can only hear a little noise from the poolside loungers; there is no problem in the rooms, where you can live in total peace and relaxation. Those who criticized the breakfast in the reviews now just make me laugh. The buffet is set up on an old and beautiful billiard table, where you can find many delicious products: a wide selection of freshly baked croissants, cakes and plumcakes, ham and salami, bread of various kinds, jams and sweet spreads, fresh yogurt, seasonal fruits and vegetables, cheeses... and also an excellent selection for lactose intolerant and gluten-free diets. However, I confirm that pancakes and omelettes are charged separately, but with all the selection available, there is no need to order any paid consumption! We spent the last dinner of our stay in Florence at the hotel's restaurant, choosing the chef's tasting menu with wine pairing. Everything was excellent, both the food and the wine... the menu offers so many options that it's almost hard to choose what you want to eat, so the tasting menu solution is perfect for spending a magnificent evening.

Only very small things to improve, as the hotel is top notch :) The restaurant is very gourmet-oriented. Which is good sometimes, but could have a bit more varied menu in my opinion. Food is very good though. The breakfast was amazing, full of local products. But it could use more variety also (e g., fresh mozzarella or more cheese varieties, scrambled or fried eggs, pistachio based products, ...). Moreover, there is maybe the opportunity to promote even more activities around Tuscany that can be directly arranged by the hotel (to be honest I did not thoroughly investigate if they had it, but one I checked in there was only a visible mention of bike renting, not much else... But they might take care of other activities also, and I just didn't check).

The scenery and the staff are 1st class. The location is breathtaking and everything is taken care nicely. The breakfast was amazing, full of local products.

Everything was terrific! The staff answered all of our questions before arrival, and were great once we arrived. The room was nicely appointed. Grounds are well maintained. Bar was fantastic, and staff was very personable to chat with. Restaurant was absolutely amazing. From Girardo and Andrea, to the Chef... everything was perfect. We've already booked a return trip!

Nothing about the hotel itself but the location is a bit far from Florence (about 20mins drive no traffic). But I guess that's also why it's so beautiful and peaceful.

The area is stunning, very peaceful and quiet. The staff was very helpful with requests or tips for where to park in Florence or where to eat. They even offered to make our reservations for us in the restaurants we chose.

Our stay at Borgo I Vicelli was a delightful and memorable experience, blending Tuscan charm, exceptional service, and a tranquil rural setting just minutes away from Florence. We were a party of two traveling in Tuscany and had the pleasure of staying at Borgo I Vicelli.The cleanliness of the hotel was excellent, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The service was of an extraordinarily high standard. The staff was extremely attentive, guest-oriented, and exceptionally friendly. Especially during breakfast, the warm conversations led to a wonderful start to the day. The hotel's amenities were upscale and beautifully reflected the Tuscan charm. It created an inviting atmosphere that made our stay particularly special. Although the hotel was located a bit outside, the accessibility by car was excellent. We reached the city center of Florence in just 20 minutes, making the location perfect. The value for money was very good. Given the outstanding offer, the price was more than justified. The overall experience at Borgo I Vicelli was characterized by the best attentive service. The staff was always guest-oriented, extremely polite, and accommodating. We felt incredibly comfortable, and the ladies at the reception as well as the colleague during breakfast made the stay something truly exceptional. We can wholeheartedly recommend Borgo I Vicelli and are already looking forward to our next visit!

Perfect location, this is real Toscana! Nice olive plantation with authentic buildings. Fantastic fine-dining kitchen, amazing pool and view! Kind and professionel staff. There are very petfriendly.

Bathroom are a bit cramped at the double rooms, but it is to be expected in Europe.

The property was lovely- very clean, well maintained and comfortable. The rooms were very nice as well- simple but with charming touches. The pool and restaurant were the stars of the show. I could sit by the pool all day and never want to go anywhere else. And the restaurant food was superb, making it very easy to stay for a long time and not need to go anywhere else.

Lovely big room but be prepared to climb steps with your bags - no lift. Some road noise from motorway in the valley but clever sound system playing calming music works well to mask it.

We did like the 588 restaurant. The food was really superb !!!! There where two negative points or where not correct. - At the pool we ordered a tasting plate of local meat/charcuterie for 18 Euro's. 4 small pieces of salami and 2 small pieces of ham... Not correct. - The menu with wine included... 120 Euro.. Half glasses and no refill... Not correct

The staff are professional and attentive to patrons needs. Most polite. . The location can only be described as magical. One can switch off , close the door to reality and live a blissfull existence...if even for just a short moment. Beaming smiles and a lavish breakfast awaits to start each day.
