Bit disappointed that it is not a walk-in shower . As the shower was on a bath ,when getting older, it was difficult to climb in. THEY really should have two choices bath or walk-in shower.

I understand dogs not been allowed in the breakfast area, however it’s not comfy eating your breakfast from a low table in the lounge area , the breakfast was lovely but leaning down to eat it spoilt this

It needs a little bit of attention and TLC to bring it up to date, but for value and convenience its spot on for an overnight or a couple of nights in Scarbados

The bed was horrific, THE most uncomfortable bed I've ever slept in, housekeeping keft a lot to be desired, cups were dirty in room, quite shabby, appreciate renovations are in progress but this was more than that type of dirty. Bar man was as miserable as sin, may have been a bad day, I don't know but I tried and tried with him, soft drinks were very expensive

We were in a room on the 5th floor room 526,unfortunately the lift broke down on our 2nd day, we know this was unfortunate and the hotel cannot foresee these sort of problems, but I went to the reception to ask if there was any other way up to our room apart from the stairs as my wife has breathing problems, I asked the man on reception this question, and he abruptly just said, well you will just have to wait for the engineer, very unhelpful and needs to learn how to deal with the public better, he just didn't have any customer service manners,he was a thick set chap with a beard

The building is old, especially the windows and window seals they need a bit of protection attention. In m room I tried to open the window, It was hard to lift it up and the dirt outside the window, I had to shut it, case spiders of creepy crawlies come inside the room. Also the TV remote control was covered in dust. Then the room fringe was dirty inside, coverd with brown sticky fluid on the fridge floor obviously from the last occupant. I take it they forgot to check in side. In the lounge room the windows facing the tram way to the ditch they need attention. Redoing and reinforcing.so many crackes I noticed.

The proximity to the train station, it’s situated near the beach , just a short walk down the hill to the beach. The staff were absolutely marvellous.

Lovely stairs ,decor and lighting in main entrance perfect for photo opportunities Good buffett Breakfast Size of room and facilities in the room 3 windows in room sea views from 2 windows Corner bath and separate shower Cosy bar area selling lovely cakes You can stop long enough outside to drop off cases and check in to your room before needing to find somewhere to park, we paid £8 for 24hrs parking. Check out man on 6th May friendly as were breakfast staff that morning.

No swimming pool and a little dated

I came to Scarborough to visit family, I don’t like to impose so usually book a hotel. Though I enjoyed my stay, I was disappointed the swimming pool was no longer available, also the hotel is a bit dated and could do with an upgrade. The team at the hotel were excellent and couldn’t do enough for guests.
