Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

Great hotel location close to restaurants, coffee shops, park, and transportation. During our nine-night stay the apartment was consistently kept to highest standards of cleanness by the very professional hotel personnel (Larisa and Maria). Apartment is more spacious than photos might suggest. Street was unexpectable quiet for a reasonably central location on one of the World's most vibrant city.

Really great, spacious room for a very reasonable price. Decent facilities. Check In was simple in the end. After I explained that I hasn't received the email to check in online they was able to sort things out.

United KingdomAs a suggestion, it would have been nice to have bed side lamps as well as the main lighting. It meant you had to have the main lighting on which was bright and with the switches on the opposite side of the room to bed. The walls and floors are pretty thin given it's an old building. That said, the other residents were quiet.
Good location. Well informed regarding access and the access was fine. there was a 'concierge' person there who was of assistance too. The property was clean and tidy and well-equipped. Happy overall

SwitzerlandThere was noise coming from the top of my apartment until 11pm. A banging like building sort of noise. This was every night. The housekeepers were noisy during the day so making it hard to concentrate on conversations either on the phone or with friends. I didn’t mind the cleaning, but the chatting to each other while on different floor was distracting. I didn’t ask for housekeeping during my stay but on the check out day at 11:02 am there was a loud bang on my door, I opened only to be told to check out. Like I didn’t know. She rudely went on and said she was giving me 10 more mins. I told her that the hair drier wasn’t working and I needed to dry my hair. I will give them a 10 out of 10 for punctuality though because 10 mins later, she was back.

United KingdomI booked at the last minute. Checking in was a car crash. I arrived at the property at the time I had specified. There was no info online on how to get the keys. I called the property and was told someone would be with me soon. A few minutes later, I called again in case I had misunderstood and was told by the same person that I would need to check in online. How do that, I asked, "Do I do that via Booking.com?" No, she had emailed me a link. Why didn't she tell me she had done that? She said she would send it again, I said you don't need to send it again, you just needed to tell me it was sent in the first place, on our first call. She said she would send it again, i said no you done need to send it again. She said again that she would send it again. So now I had the email three times. I completed the booking online then waited and called a third time. She said she was just sorting it now. I said I would stay on the phone rather than call a fourth time but she hung up on me. Then a colleague of hers came in and had the details and gave me the key. If the first person had the courtesy to explain things properly rather than trying to get me off the phone three times I might consider staying here again, but it's hard to undo such a bad first impression.

Norway- shower water only stayed warm enough for one person to shower - awful towels, they all gave out so much lint that stuck everywhere on the face and body. - super thin walls: could hear everything going on in the other rooms/hallway. - no elevators and there can be about 4-5 steep floors to walk up - unpractical angle/layout for watching TV
- location! Central, close to several good tube stops and buses. Lots of cafés and restaurants around. Right next to Hyde park. - clean - good heating - the outdoor area around the building is very quiet (but we were on the top floor so could be worse if you're on lower floors)

JapanVery light on decor so felt soulless. No bedside lights! If I had realized they charged a 200 pound deposit before booking a non refundable room then I wouldn’t have booked in the first place. However the deposit was returned the day of checkout. They also have a no visitor rule which I didn’t realize. I’d wanted to have a couple of drinks and a take away with 2 old friends.
Nice location (less than 10 mins from paddington), good value and much bigger than anticipated. Two bedrooms and a kitchen with dining room. Decent hot shower. Complimentary water and biscuits. Good central heating.
