Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe first night we were kept awake untill 1am do to the hotel having a wedding downstairs. The manager said he would give us complimentary breakfast on our second morning to which this wasn't apparent when we told the staff that morning. Secondly my family and I returned home that bank holiday Monday to all have upset tummies and DnV.
Staff were great, really friendly and helped out. The reception foyer and bar area was very modern.

United KingdomThe room was booked for 3 but seemed to be prepared for 2. I pulled the sofa bed out and it had clean linen on but there were only had 2 towel sets.
I really like this hotel. I often stay here for work but this was the first time staying at the weekend with my children. The location is so convenient for public transport and the staff are very friendly. My kids especially enjoyed the breakfast and sweetie bar!

United KingdomRooms hot and air con didn't seem effective. Not the hotels fault but some very noisy and totally inconsiderate people in a room over the corridor from us ensured our sleep was prevented then disturbed again around 3am. Not on. Why are some people so selfish??
Good location, very helpful staff, clean and great breakfast. Room had a bath as well as shower. Parking was straightforward, and cheaper if pre booked through hotel.

United KingdomCost of parking - parking should be included, or at least a discounted price for hotel guests. We stay in this hotel due to convenience off the motorway, but it is now more cost effective to get the train, so likely to look at hotels more central. Parking cost us over £60 for just 2 nights!
Breakfast was delicious, hotel bar was welcoming, beds were comfy

United States30 minute subway ride to major sights, although easy to get to. Information isn’t given out at check in need to ask. Example….water not available that we could find, coffee in the restaurant but unsure if available to us, WiFi.
The location is close to the underground and buses. Restaurants in the area. Underground had places to eat that were less expensive. Staff were helpful with underground directions.

United KingdomAir con in room was very poor, during the night I had to open the window (lot's of passing traffic from outside flyover, not a pleasant view). I found the people in the room next to me very noisy as they had young children, not good when you have important meetings the next day. On arrival check-in was very busy and slow, I had a wait of around 20 mins to book in.
Room was clean, Check-out was quicker than checking in

United KingdomConstantly having to input my email address into the Wi-Fi system on all my devices on a daily basis. It also seemed to slow down and stop occasionally.
I was upgraded (I think) to the 9th floor. Room was big and Exec level with a free mini-bar

United KingdomCheck in was 3.30pm so advanced noticed by the time I checked in in the evening. After a long travel I didn’t enjoy the 15 minute wait to be checked in whilst they found a suitable room On check out day, twice people tried to enter whilst occupied and before our allocated check out time of midday

United KingdomNothing to dislike - always a great stay here.
Breakfast is superb, possibly one of the best around. The bar area was very comfortable and the reception staff were all attentive. This hotel can get very busy being so close to the Apollo and Olympia, but this time it was pretty quiet which was lovely. Location is great just 5 mins walk to the Hammersmith tube / bus station. Although I was upgraded to a 'better room', which I was very grateful for, I wasn't really aware of any difference in facilities to the pretty good room I'd booked and stayed in before this trip, so knew what I was expecting in terms of room facilities so was able to make a direct comparison. If I was making the room choice again, I would stay with a 'Superior Room with Queen Bed and One Sofa Bed' rather than the Executive Room I was upgraded to on the 9th Floor.

United KingdomThe bathroom pods are too small and the door didn't close properly. No clear signage as to where the front of the hotel is. Confusing that could get into hotel at main entrance after midnight. Disappointing having gone down to car park had to go back upto first floor to get parking ticket endorsed.
Location round the corner from our evening reception car park good. Car park entrance level reception very helpful - quick checkin

The location is ideal for Hammersmith Apollo. Clean and reasonable price for London. Would we stay there again? Yes. We didn't stay for breakfast but enjoyed the late check-out at 12:00

United Kingdom2 things, one very minor. The tap in the bathroom flowed at the back of the sink, so after cleaning teeth, the flow did not wash away the "spittle" and a glass was needed to wipe clean the sink. The tap itself just looked ugly. The 2nd point is potentially more serious. There was no key card control on the lifts, so anybody could walk in from the street and go up to the room levels. The lift could be accessed without passing staff & no checks.
Comfortable standard hotel room. liked the drinks chiller with soft drinks in it which were complementory. We didnt use any of the facilities, it was very much a place to sleep for one night in a good convienient location.
