Really enjoyed our stay at market cross guest house. Amanda and Steve were lovely and very welcoming. The food was outstanding. We stayed in the blue room with it having a bath which was extra nice. Cant wait to go again. Would highly recommend.

We enjoyed a fabulous stay at the Market Cross, great location, fantastic large, clean room, extremely comfortable bed, great facilities available in the room. We were offered cake on arrival which was delicious. Great breakfast with a good choice. Steve and Amanda are super friendly and welcoming.

    Nothing - perfect stay.

Great location and very comfortable, well equipped room. Top quality bedding and towels. Room was tastefully furnished. Good variety of tea, coffee and fruit drinks in room including a coffee machine. Fresh milk provided every day. Delicious home made biscuits each day and home made cake on arrival was a welcome bonus. Hospitality was exceptional and breakfast was outstanding with lots of home made delights. Area was a great base to visit surrounding areas, Bamburgh, Seahouses and Holy Island.

All aspects of the stay were exceptionally good - the food was excellent (using local produce), the room was delightful and there were lovely touches (such as a slice of home-made cake on arrival, local mead to sample in our room). Steve and Amanda were so friendly and knowledgeable about the area.

Nothing, it’s a great place, one of the nicest I have stayed in. I would definitely visit again - and regularly- if they accepted dogs. Most of our trips to Northumberland are with our four legged family member!

Lovely house, really clean. Decor and furnishings all really tasteful. Room was really quiet at night. Nothing to dislike. Breakfast was fab on both mornings. We needed an early start and this was accommodated. Second morning the full English was amazing - with tasty local produce. Lovely home cooked food. . Nice touch having homemade cake and Lindisfarne mead in the room.

    Can’t think of anything

I spent 2 nights over a weekend as I was running a local race on Saturday morning. Before my stay, communication with the guest house was excellent. They could advise on places to dine, local taxis and any queries I had. I arrived late on Friday and both Steve and Amanda were ready to welcome me. The room was warm, spotless and tastefully decorated. The establishment was quiet and clean. The Nespresso coffee machine in the room was a life saver for my early start on Saturday. The hosts were wonderful. I will definitely be back and could not recommend Market Cross more.
