What a beautiful building and so well maintained, nestled in gorgeous gardens. The location was excellent and in walking distance to Keswick town centre and the many attractions of the Lake District. Extra bonus of a lift in an older facility. Junelle was a delight and super knowledgeable. Breakfast delicious.

Our room was on the third floor and my wife has restricted mobility walks with stick Didn't realise there would be that many steps up and down to get to our room after leaving the elevator Didn't think to mention restricted mobility when booking as soon as we were told there was an elevator we thought that would be ok

The hotel is well placed, just a short walk from town. There is a very welcoming bar area, with very friendly staff. The hotel were very helpful addressing my dietary needs (I am a vegan). Although there was nothing on the menu, the kitchen was happy to modify dishes for me.

The revolving entrance was a bit awkward especially for people with pushchairs who I saw struggling however I am sure there must be an alternative somewhere but nothing was offered.

The staff were extremely helpful for example the bar staff were from Hungary and were explaining about their national cuisine. The bar area was very comfortable. The hotel is set in lovely grounds. The reception gave me a plaster for my finger with no bother at all. The breakfast service was polite and prompt. Plenty of parking availability.

Very little, although when we checked our bill on our return home, we had been charged for a glass of red wine which we didn't receive. We only drink white wine.

We had a fabulous break at the hotel. Lovely old Victorian building well restored to a high standard. Brilliant staff, lovely food and restaurant and a relaxing lounge area. 5 min walk to town centre. Overall I would highly recommend!!

Double bed was 2 singles side by side made up as a double so uncomfortable and difficult to spoon. No shampoo just generic body wash . No orange juice for breakfast just Apple juice and a murky orange mixture. I know logistically this would be difficult but a shame it wasn’t possible to order 2 courses for meal at a cheaper rate or have a cheaper price for breakfast if only consuming cereal. Wanted to leave a generous tip but only cash was acceptable so we didn’t have much to leave

There was nothing about the property I didnt dislike and the food (bar and breakfast) was excellent but found having to pay £45 for a three course meal in the evening, wether or not you had the three courses was a bit strange. Needless to say we ate out for three nights of our stay.

Not much, maybe water in the room and a tissue box, but these are minor things.

We really enjoyed our stay and everything was good. The room we felt was a little small. The food was excellent especially the choice and change of menu for the evening meal. The staff were so pleasant and friendly. The lounge areas were of great comfort and choice.
