Good continental breakfast included with plenty of choice. Evening meal was delicious and couldn't fault it. Clean and comfortable room, with good size en-suite. Staff friendly and helpful. Really enjoyed and will stay again :)

Could feel mattress springs, slept on top of duvet to be more comfortable. Bedroom was tiny but clean.Cooked breakfast was overcooked with cheap sausages used. I wouldn't recommend a full English.

Honestly can’t think of anything

In a lovely location,staff were friendly,hotel room was spacious with a lot of plug sockets, tea/coffee making facilities, en-suite with large shower and a king size bed which was very comfortable. We had a nice meal in their restaurant in the evening and opted for the cooked breakfast in the morning which again was excellent. Would definitely recommend the hotel and we would stay there again.

The room wasn’t the cleanest. The toilet was stained, there were hairs/stains inside of and outside the drawers. The furniture was a little dated, could do with updating. But other than this it was ok.

The location is very good! It was about 15 minutes walk to Abraham heights and less than 10 minutes to the town. It was a nice little hotel. Has everything you need. I thought the bed was comfy but my partner didn’t agree. The staff left the windows open for us so it was nice and cool on arrival. There was a fan in the room which we really appreciated as it was a warm night! We liked that the continental breakfast was included in the price! It is a nice quiet hotel, although my partner was woken up in the night by some strange noises.

Sadly the coffee machine broke down at breakfast but the lady was very apologetic. The continental breakfast was fine would have been nice to have had a few hard boiled eggs and continental meats but the toasters worked and actually didnt burn it. Really can't find anything else that we didnt like.

Arrived 15 minutes early and was given our room key straight away. Small room but fine for our over night stay. It was clean and well presented. Shower was very nice plenty of hot water whenever needed. In great location half way between Matlock and Matlock Bath so could easily walk to either. Lovely bar area and out side seating area very pleasant on a nice evening. Staff were very nice. Would definately stay again.

Breakfast was a letdown. No cooked breakfast option as no chef and the buffet we felt was a bit basic.

Location was perfect for our visit to Matlock Bath. Lovely hotel, the room was cosy with nice views. Clean, friendly and peaceful.

Nothing, our room was small but we expected that, bed was comfy and shower and bath worked fine. Very good value ( no lifts) not a problem to us but could be to others.

Good continual breakfast, self service included. Quiet, individual hotel with character , clean and nicely situated between Matlock and Matlock Bath nice stroll to either place. Friendly but not intrusive staff.

Friendly staff. Excellent location. Midway between Matlock and Matlock bath. Fair breakfast. Didn't have dinner as we dined out Well stocked bar. Room small, but everything we needed. . And clean.

Would have been bonus to have some soya milk readily available. Also I think a buffet style breakfast, may appeal to more than the set menu available.

It was a great location and an easy walk to Matlock and Matlock Bath. Nice size room, we stayed in the family room and competitive rates.

Only option to cool the room at night was to open the window, which lets in noise from the road. (There was a small fan but this did nothing - the room could do with a standing fan.) The bath taps didn’t work, so we had to fill the bath by running the shower.
