Anne and Dave were excellent hosts. Beautiful home cooked meals in the evenings, and amazing desserts. Delicious home cooked breakfast. Such a relaxing place to stay with beautiful surroundings. Would highly recommend.

It wasn't that I didn't like it but the bathroom is small due to space issues but very well organised given the room size.

Location is excellent for Railway, shops, restaurants etc. Good check in and nice room with a view. Excellent shower/water pressure. Very good breakfast. Well distanced for Covid issues. Clean. Great to have a mini fridge. Lovely hosts, really friendly and helpful.

The only little thing I didn't like was the noise from the little fridge in room. Maybe it's just me but it seemed quite loud.

Room 1( we stayed in) was comfortable, clean and had everything that one could possibly need. Bed was on a firm side but comfortable. The cooked breakfast was very good. The view out of our window was great. Location is hilly , but views are beautiful and the local Coastal Path is a must see! I would definitely stay there again. The hosts were nice and friendly. We booked last minute and had to find a eating place in a village, mostly everywhere was booked but there was nice fish&chips place open so we didn't go hungry.

We couldn't fault our stay at the Gable Lodge.

We were very happy with the Gable Lodge. The room was very comfortable and bright, with a balcony to sit out on. The breakfasts were amazing, as were the evening meals too. Ann and David's local knowledge was spot on, and they were very friendly. Valley of Rocks was only 15 minutes walk away, as was the Cliff Railway. Both a MUST SEE. Loved Lynton and Lynmouth. Great Crab Sandwiches, my first!!

There was nothing to dislike. The only thing I would say which is nothing to do with the property is don’t go up Pawlock hill when you come off the A5, it is so steep a complete nightmare, I thought I had done my clutch, but we let it all cool down for about 30mins & was then able to continue,there is another route we could have gone.

It was a really nice guest house, very comfortable & the breakfast was excellent, Ann & Dave the owners were both very obliging nothing was to much trouble & they cooked a really nice roast dinner on Sunday.

Parking isnt easy. But it is possible. It is what it is......a small town built pn a hill. With roads to match.

A nice couple of days break. Lovelt home made cooking. Dave and Anne couldnt have been more helpful.

Parking is available but not the easiest to access.

Hosts very helpful offering advice when needed. Excellent evening meal provided. Our decision to eat out on first two nights of our stay had proved disappointing.

The location is perfect. The hospitality of Anne & Dave is outstanding, they were extremely friendly, attentive, and helpful with everything. The room was clean and very pretty with a lovely view. The breakfast was delicious with great vegan options, plus there were some amazing, homemade jams available too.

I’m struggling to think about anything I didn’t like.as it was just what I needed. Maybe not being located on the 2nd floor after doing the Maverick Ultra marathon, but that can’t be helped 😬

The warm welcome by Anne and Dave was lovely . My room was on the second floor (#4) , it was very clean, light and airy, rear window . En suite bathroom (very nice shower) , a very comfortable bed . Plenty of space for clothes and storing your bags. It had a mini fridge for milk , TV and coffee making facilities. The breakfast menu was good and very tasty and the breakfast room was very well spaced adhering to COVID restrictions. There was antibacterial gel to use and face coverings were mandatory.
