Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

New ZealandMore of a misunderstanding in communication than dislike. We’d originally arranged a self contained apartment. I think there was a mix up with the reception querying on our arrival if I’d called them (my Spanish isn’t that good by phone, so I never call), and them offering what maybe they considered an upgrade (hotel room with spa bath) but what I’d consider a downgrade (without the desired apartment facilities we’d pre paid for). Anyway, the man at reception eventually sorted it out for us, in good humour, so that we got what we’d booked. It shouldn’t have been a problem anyway as the hotel was quiet. We appreciate him doing this. We got our ‘lucky number’ apartment. Two things in kitchen - they need to provide a means to dry dishes (we ended up using one of our spare, clean travel towels, as no tea towel) and a toaster would be helpful. We toasted bread by Frypan.
We are travelling across Portugal and Spain by bike, primarily using self contained accommodation, and this was our first hotel with apartment facilities available on our way east. The unit had basic cooking facilities, crockery, stovetop espresso etc. Having a washing machine has been essential to our travels, so that was great (if a little long, no rapid washing for this one …). Good location to explore town, and secure bike parking was available. Comfortable nights sleep.

United KingdomUpon arrival (was late) we had to call reception so someone will come and open the door for us. Same when we were leaving. As there was nobody at the reception. The room was quite clean but could be better.
The room was really nice and comfy. The location was good. Had a tv, air conditioner, shampoo and shower gel and even a toothbrush as standard which was nice. Room better than expected. Would recommend Cleaning daily.

United Statesthis is our stop for cordova. obviously if you don't have a car it's going to be difficult. when we were there on may 27 it seemed there were some events going on in cordova because hotel rooms were very expensive by my standard - nothing under 200 euros for a triple room. so i kept looking for rooms further away from the center of cordova. macami was finally picked. the good: - a short drive to cordova city center, about 30km away. parking is available on the street in the front. the hotel has a small parking lot, for a fee, i assume. - located on a quiet street, yet close to freeway entrance. the bad: can't think of any. don't remember seeing any shops or restaurants nearby. the hotel has a restaurant, didn't get a chance to try.

ArgentinaThere was some cigarette smell on the toilet. This wasn't that bad, but it would had been better without that. We would stay anyway, as the rest of the facilities where good and the staff was always friendly with us.
Very convenient location if you are en-route to another area and don't want to stay in Cordoba city center. The staff was also accommodating with us whenever we asked for favors. The breakfast was not included, but it was cheap and convenient as well.
