Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomOne could hear the unpleasant sound of sewages and toilets of the people in the adjacent rooms. The fan switch was connected to the room light. If you wanted the ceiling fan working, the light must be on too.

HungaryThere was 2 main things that I would highlight here, otherwise the hostal would me amazing. Room: the window was looking on somekind of gap between houses. So there was not much fresh air. Mold: there was mold in the bathroom, and you could smell it strongly everytime when you entered to the room.
The hostal would be great, our main problem was with the mold. (details in the "negative" part) Location: was great, just 1 minute walk from one the main streets. 5 minutes walk from the beach. Communication: was good, they always answered me. The english communication in live was not the best, but we understanded each other :) Room: the room was like in the pictures, beside two things. (details in the below part) Services: they was very nice, when I ask for an extra blanket beacuse it was cold, they did not hesitate to give one.

PortugalThe room had a strange smell because it didn't have any windows connected to the outside. The bathroom also didnt have any privacy as the doors didnt close properly.
The location was really nice and close to the center, we easily found restaurantes and other places near by. The employes were also really nice.

KazakhstanApparently after 20:00 there is no one at the property, so the keys have been left at the room and there was a entrance code sent it, which is fine, but when we arrived we saw that there is construction undergoing from early morning and room was very very cold, no heater or AC, just a couple of blankets. I don’t mind late check in notice and the noise (for some though might be an issue), but it was freezing in February
Hotel right in an old town of Marbella, arrived late at night and were surprised by the little streets, where you can wonder around and enjoy the old town vibe.

Great location, very accessible and extremely comfortable bed. For the price it was good for value as we spent most of the time outside and when we were there we slept solidly. The walls are very thin though so you could hear every conversation.
