“Its a nice old hotel in easy (10-15 mins) walk of Matlock Bath and fortunately out of the madness of 'down town' . The open air geo thermally heated (but chilly) pool behind is free to guests and that is a real bonus if you like to swim (vs splash). We upgraded and got a nice room overlooking the gardens and the pool, the first room we saw was poky with no view other than internal courtyard / roof top. Breakfast was OK not exceptional but we didn't eat in the restaurant.”
