Some of the cups in the room had not been cleaned properly, so just took the edge off.

Just had evening meal. Pizza ok, but not a lot of food choices that weren’t carb heavy

Few stains on bedsheets. No bedguard for the lower beds. No bathmat. Disappointed mini disco did not take place as planned.

Children loved the Princess themed room. Nice to have coffee/tea making facilities. Very convenient for Gulliver’s Kingdom & walked into Matlock Bath in the evening. Lovely views.

TV in the room could be better positioned. Steps to the bunk beds block the view of the tv from the viewing area.

A little small, but very comfortable.

Fire alarm on the full complex sounded off at 2:30am with no real explanation as to why - no fire.

Such a great setting for a hotel and location was great for going into Gulliver's Kingdom itself. A few hills that require actual hiking to get up and down them however, worth it when Matlock Bath is down at the bottom (you can also leave in car and return if you can't be bothered with walking). Entertainment was on for the kids in the little clubhouse which was a bonus, the host had heaps of energy and did well keeping everyone engaged.

The constant emergency light ( green light ? ) on all day and night. It kept us awake as it's very bright.

Think we had some walkers staying in our room before us, so smelt a bit of feet! The little sink in the bathroom was part of the cistern so made brushing your teeth a bit tricky.

Friendly staff who gave us bowls so we could make our own breakfast. Very clean.

There is an enormous green light on the ceiling that lights up the whole room as soon as you turn off the main light. Combined with the blue lights in the corner, it's impossible to go to sleep as it's like being under a floodlight in a torture room.

The Mouse room was very well presented, clean, neat and warm (it was a chilly evening). Tea making facilities were great and towels were fluffy

The hearing was on when we came and it was so hot! We turned it down but probably best to have someone check before people come in. Also, would be good to have a better way to open the windows in the property.

We stayed at the Ratty suit which had a room with a double bed and a room with two bunk beds. The suit was really clean and really well thought through, the children thought it was magical! The space is huge and the kitchen well equipped, we loved it! And would hugely recommend! It’s just opposite the gate to the first entrance and there’s plenty of parking. It was very quiet and probably much better for that reason then the rooms within the actual site.

The small shower and loo that doubles as a sink tough to use if of a larger figure or claustrophobic. Didn't realise hotel is in the park grounds so struggled to find it first off. If walking out the walk back is a killer if you're unfit or of limited walking capability. But I'd go again just need my inhaler lol

Lovely set up , great for kids but adults alike. Close to all local attractions . Stunning views and area. Clean , was not noisy at night . Bed was comfortable.

No wine glasses in the room as specified and I was a little disappointed to find no cutlery or crockery in the kitchenette. No hair dryer either.

The food options were poor, it was ok for one night but it’s cheap fast food at restaurant prices. Breakfast was really basic.

The Wizard themed room was excellent, a good size very comfortable and clean. The children’s entertainment was a fantastic unexpected bonus, more for younger children but my 10 year old still enjoyed it. The location for local attractions is perfect.

The fridge was tiny unfortunately, good thing we had travelled with an electric cool box, so had double the space. We managed to eat for 2 days from just the microwave, and the tiny sink. The hot water in the kitchenette and the bathroom was scorching but there were no signs up to warn you (like you see in many other places), just something worth considering with young children around

We didn't venture out into the clubhouse so couldn't comment, but there was one, and it was serving food, which is good. Lovely little playground, and courtyard with a ping pong table, nice touch. And the views just cannot be beaten! We stayed in the wizard family room (triple bunk bed) and it looked over the valleys, right to Heights of Abraham. Easy access to gullivers kingdom, although you do still have to either walk up the rest of the hill, or down again, ypu can't enter from the gate near the ping pong table (you can pass your packed lunch over it though when you send hubby back to the room to fetch it!)

The room smelled musty and damp, and the bathroom smelled of wee like it hadn't been cleaned properly. 3 of the tea mugs hadn't been cleaned properly and still had bits in them. The adult bed wasn't comfortable, but daughter enjoyed hers. Honestly if the room was a little cleaner it would have been an excellent stay because there was so much about it we enjoyed.

The rooms were very nicely decorated and sizeable, our daughter loved the pirate theme. The balcony was beautiful. The entertainment in the evening for the children was lovely, we all had fun at musical bingo!

We stayed for 4 nights at a cost of £120 a night. The themed rooms are constructed from two rows of shipping containers painted and decorated on the outside to look like a fairy castle. They’re comfortable but not luxurious in any way. The breakfast which we paid for separately was a minimal effort affair. Either small kids cereal boxes, or bacon / sausage dried up under a heat lamp on equally dried up bread rolls. The staff were friendly but seemed in a bit of a flap every time we went into breakfast, especially the manager. The radiator in our room made a loud clink sound around 3am each night and made us jump out of our skin! You could get much nicer accommodation for this price.

As a family of 3 (2 adults & a 6 year old) we stayed in one of the wizard themed rooms. Our son loved the room and was beyond excited. The location is convenient if you are planning a trip to Gulliver’s Kingdom as it is inside the park (Not great if you don’t plan a trip to the park!). Staff were friendly. The room was comfortable.
