Michelle was so helpful with arranging travel for us as we had several trips we wanted to do with using her hotel as our base. Her English is amazing.
Very much enjoyed the rural atmosphere after staying in some very busy places.
This was a plus for us andwe didn't mind the taxi rides to get back into town.
There are bikes available to hire which we enjoyed biking into town as well.

Anna Mao in the lounge was very attentive and thoughtful, the glasses are always filled, questions are always answered.Happy hour at the club lounge is not the normal “hors d'oeuvre”, you can basically have dinner there. View from the room is great too! I stayed in 2 shangri-la hotels in this trip but Guilin Shangri-la is next level compared to the other one. We truely enjoy the stay and hoping to come back again.”

“I liked the location on a silent street with amazing view on the mountains. My room was simply beautiful with a little tea corner by the windows. Breakfast was simple and nice. Great service with the pick up from the railway station, very comfortable. There was also a possibility to order a massage and a local sighseeing trip - both were really good.”

On our first night there, we didn't want to go out because we were tired after a long day of travel so the staff showed us a demonstration of pouring Chinese tea using the artistic tea set they have. She also gave us some local Chinese desserts so that we could enjoy a quiet night drinking tea and chatting. A very personal experience.”

She handed us a map and circled all the great local spots. There is an exceptionally good restaurant that she recommended. You will have to go there to find out what it is....”
