Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

AustraliaWe did not find the staff particularly friendly, and found the dining buffet staff unpleasant when they were running late for 7pm opening and treated us as though their tardiness was our fault, with the man at reception prancing out to show us on his phone that there was delay. No menu items were in English and no one spoke English to assist with descriptions of some unrecognisable local dishes.
The room was typical of similar properties around the world.

Everything was great. A relatively new hotel in a quiet area, outside of the city. Due to the location you need a car or move around by taxi. It is a very nice and modern hotel. It well deserves to be a 4 star hotel.

ParaguayThe "heated pool". This was written on a photo in Booking. The pool actually does receive hot water, but hardly enough and the water remains cold. We felt cheated. They should remove the photo saying "heated pool". We paid a higher price so we could (supposedly) take a hot bath in the pool. We weren't the first guests to feel this.
The room was very comfortable, with special mention for the shower, which was superb. Everything was very clean. The staff was friendly. Would recommend.
