Totem Buenavista has free bikes, outdoor swimming pool, a garden and restaurant in Bacalar. The hotel features both free WiFi and free private parking. Aldea Elvira's lagoon dock setup is true paradise. We loved biking through the jungle to get there with the bikes provided and spent as much time as possible there during our stay. The water is some of the best we've every swam in and we loved having it mostly to ourselves for a quiet reset. Something to note about the accommodation is that there is no fridge available for guest use. There is a great restaurant onsite but it's not always open so if you need food in between meals be sure to bring things that don't need to be refrigerated. We slept extremely well in our cabin. It stayed pretty cool at night without AC and the bed was really comfortable. We enjoyed talking to other guests from around the world in the common areas. The shared bathroom was clean. Buenavista is a tiny town with friendly residents that we really loved. There isn't much in terms of restaurants and shops but we appreciated the local bodega for cold cervezas. We had a rental car and visited Bacalar once which was nice but we really enjoyed staying in the quiet paradise of Buenavista for most of our time there. This isn't for someone looking for nightlife, a perfectly maintained tourist zone, or a resort setting. We enjoy camping so the elevated rustic style of glamping was a great fit for us.

There is a restaurant within walking distance and access to the lake is nearby as well. Location is out of town, but nearby. In 20-25 minutes (walking)you can be in the thick of things. Just a few minutes drive with car. The hosts are wonderful! Flor and Simon care deeply about providing you comfort, rest, and relaxation in a quiet beautiful environment. They are prompt in responding to questions and concerns. Really, a lovely place to stay!

Located in Chetumal, Hotel "ala Residencias" features free bikes, outdoor swimming pool, terrace, and free WiFi. I just came off a 12+ hour travel and when i checked in at night. Before my arrival Juanita reached out to me to check on how my travel was going and I kept her updated. When I got to the hotel she gave me a room upgrade which made my day. I was so exhausted and to see and have thar beautiful space was amazing. I was mostly just passing through the hotel to get to my final destination but it was amazing. I had trouble ordering food and paying with Amex and she made sure before she left she helped me figure out how to get food aswell. And the bed was so soft the softest I've ever slept in It was amazing

We loved everything about our stay! The hotel itself is beautiful. We had a room with lagoon view and I would 100% recommend. We could see the lagoon from our bed and bathtub! The food and drinks at the hotel are amazing and the staff are so friendly. Only a short drive into the center of town.

We absolutely loved our stay at Habitas Bacalar! From the personal welcome ceremony when we arrived to the attention from all staff at all times, we felt very well looked after. Our room in the jungle was beautiful, luxurious and cosy at the same time. Perfect temperature even in tropical climates. The outdoor shower was a perfect little addition to the experience. Breakfast was delicious and abudant and we took part in several of the complimentary wellness activities such as yoga, meditation, film screening etc which were all beautifully organised. Would recommend to everyone!
