Surrounded by countryside, Hotel Garaiko Landetxea is situated 7 km from the small town of Durango. It offers accommodation with heating and free WiFi. I absolutely loved the place, though I misunderstood the concept at the very beginning: I was thinking the hotel is with a restaurant and a sort of a farm stay, but the restaurant there wasn't working. This rural house is located in a very (like - VERY) small village of 300 regular inhabitants. It is surrounded by amazing forests and hills and the three days that I spent there under the rain (yes, "sunny Spain" could be very different) were like a retreat (which I definitely needed). It was a perfect concept for me, but may not be same perfect for anyone else. If you're traveling with a car, the hotel is very conveniently located many beautiful hiking routes of all difficulties. You can go to the mountains from there, or spend a day on the beach. Three restaurants in the village are amazing dining experience (even one taverna is at least a great view and a very inexpensive lunching), so it wasn't a problem that the site didn't have a restaurant itself.

The hotel was beautiful and our room had a glorious balcony overlooking the harbor, Getxo and the Vizcaya Bridge. I expected the area to be more industrial, but it really was a neighborhood (in addition to being industrial) and it was really fun to walk along the water and over to Getxo via the aerial bridge. We saw the beach, but didn't go. We wished we had had more time to relax and to explore. There was parking in the basement and it was only about 25 minutes to the airport. We weren't there for breakfast.
This hotel completely exceeded my expectations. There were balcony with beautiful ocean view, this hotell was in front of Ereaga Beach. Vizcaya hanging bridge was in walking distance. Bed was very comfortable, shower was very good. I very much enjoyed blackout curtains. This hotel had everything you need for a nice vacation in a beautiful place.
I loved this place. Welcoming receptionist who spoke good English. International standard hotel room with balcony and good view of the Vizcaya Bridge. Right on the edge of the old town and next to the Camino de Santiago for convenient morning departure. Good wifi. Safe, bar fridge and espresso maker with pods. Comfortable bed. Clean.
The facilities were top and the staff was friendly and effective, always being there for whatever the customer may need. The room and bed were confortable and the location was close to the center but not affected by traffic or noises.
First Class Accommodations. Nice Lobby and and Roof top Bar with one of the best views of Bilbso. Does not need to go outside. The Breakfast area.. wonderful as well as the Staff. They are very accommodating, they even give you a doggy bag so you can prepare your lunch box. The Hotel has parking lot

First - the accommodation is adapted for wheelchair users. Not a single step to access the apartment which also has stunning views. Bathroom is also adapted. We loved, the location, the views, the staff, the relaxed atmosphere.

Everything. We had a balcony oceanfront room. It was very comfortable and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. The parking was across from the hotel and it was easy to get in and out. The breakfast was served in the ocean view dining room. There are plenty bars and restaurants nearby. I would stay there again.
