Easy to find, good location and easy parking. The evening meals were good value and the menu varied. Our room had been recently decorated and was very clean, although they might regret using plain carpets, there were already some coffee stains.

The room was nicely furnished and very comfortable. The historic quirkiness of the building made the hotel a very interesting place to explore. This was enhanced by the free movement of the resident cat Poppet, who seemed to go unseen by many of the visitors due to her working in stealth mode. Enjoyed hearing the evening piper in the inner courtyard.
