The location is ok: 20 min walk to the beach, 5 min by scooter. Though the beach on this side seems to often be agitated and there weren't any swimmer. I would recommend to go to Houhai to swim by scooter or taxi (~15 min drive). There are e-bikes that you can rent by the main entrance which is very convenient and fairly cheap. The facilities are quite new and rooms are comfortable. The staff were quite nice though they don't seem to speak any English. Overall great deal for this price.

The estate staff were always helpful, arranging for an airport transfer, offering advice, and even driving guests around the estate in electric buggies. They use WeChat for all rapid communications, which makes it convenient for everyone. The estate is adjacent to a long and pleasant sandy beach. The local beach area is subject to undertow, so don't expect to go swiming in the sea within the viscinity of the estate. Expect a pleasant 200-900m walk through the estate to reach the beach, depending on location of the allocated villa.
