Beautiful cosy cottage managed by lovely host. Situated very close to fox glacier and provides some exllelant views of mountain ranges. Its a small farm with little garden all around the cottages, provides glimpse of local life. To top it all hostess serves excellent home backed cakes, breads in beautifully decorated dining area with exotic items over lovely conversations. Had amazing stay there, felt our stay was too short.

We were left instructions to get into our room so did not meet the host, Kristen, but she left a note with all instructions. Our room was very clean and comfortable with all amenities we needed. Great shower! Good location for visiting Lake Matheson and Fox Glacier.

Heartland Hotel Glacier Country is conveniently located at State Highway 6 and close to the Fox Glacier and a number of cafes/restaurants. We did a Mt Cook and Fox Glacier flight with snow landing with a company almost next door to the hotel and it was a fantastic experience. The hotel is just about 30 minutes drive from the Franz Josef glacier and about 5km from Lake Matheson, which has a very good Fox Glacier lookout.

A great apartment stay for one night very quiet, comfortable and clean.Its an half hour walk to the Fox Glacier township for food and drinks but don,t be put off as the walk back on a nice evening is memorable!obviously having a car would be favourable.We felt very relaxed here.

The friendly owner free-upgraded us to a two-bedroom Apartment. The motel is very close to the Fox Glacier Guiding office. The unit is very clean, the heater and shower is good, enough kitchen facilities to use. The bonus is amazing star gazing at night outside our unit.

This place is conveniently located. I Loved that Ann was so engaging, warm and friendly. Being a local, she had extensive knowledge of the history of Fox Glacier and the community.. The kitchen, lounge and the room was thoughtfully decorated and spacious. The deck of perfectly facing the mountains and the sunset which is an ideal way to the finish your day. It's a must visit town and backpacker hostel.
