Good location in downtown Slane that's a short drive to attractions (Slane castle, Battle of the Boyne, Newgrange). Free parking in the back. Rooms were well-prepared and clean. The breakfast was included and was what exceeded our expectations - choice of prepared meals (including full Irish breakfast) as well as great coffee and pastries (especially enjoyed the croissants). Also had dinner here and really enjoyed our meals.
Had booked the property to attend a wedding at slane castle. The property was clean comfortable and had everything we needed. The property owner went above and beyond to make us comfortable and even gave us a lift to the wedding. Absolutely perfect
They facilities were spotless.
The accommodation was very clean and comfortable.
The site was well laid out and quiet.
The view from the Shepherds Hut of Slane Castle was beautiful.
Lovely walks nearby.
The lighting at night was lovely and gave an ethereal mood to the site.
Lovely hotel, and excellent alternative accommodation if you’re going to a wedding in Tankardstown. The staff were very helpful and helped organise a taxi for us up to the venue. Taxis aren’t plentiful so there can be a queue to get one, but there is a bar that you can have a drink at while you wait! This place is also within walking distance of Slane Castle!
The guesthouse is very comfortable, clean and modern and just a few mins from Slane Castle. Parking is on-street but there was no problem finding a space. Breakfast is served in the hotel across the street; it was very tasty and had plenty of options.
Another nice touch - check out was at 12 which is a little later than many places. Great value too, would definitely stay there again if I was passing through.
Nice, quiet location about 2km outside of Slane, near to Slane castle. Staff were friendly and helpful. Cottage room was spacious and with a kitchen, dining area and kitchen with tables outside for eating too. We enjoyed our brief stay here.
Lovely place full of history itself. There're loads of natural lights in the kitchen and bathroom due to the velux windows, very nice! Dishwasher in the kitchen and 2 fire extingushers. Our cat loved to stay at the window watching outside. Just a few minutes from Slane castle. There was a very helpful folder in the room with the main attractions and things to do around.
everything was great, went there for Puca festival, 5 mins walk by slane castle
super friendly and kind staff.
I higly raccomand, in the middle of real ireland
What a gem! We managed to score a little room at the Old Post Office when we came into Slane for the Puca Festival. Check-in was an easy process (across the street at Conyngham Arms). Room was tastefully updated and clean. The hotel is a short walk to Slane Castle. Very accessible by bus; we took the 190 in from Drogheda. A delicious Breakfast was included and served at Conyngham Arms hotel across the street the next day.
