Amazing location just around the corner from York Minster in a very convenient part of historic York. The building is historic and is being lovingly given a new life. Our room was on the top floor and had fabulous exposed wooden beams, plus a view over a lush garden and a bit of York Minster. The room was comfortable, clean, and quiet. Breakfast was amazing: tons of options that were all delicious. Friendly, kind staff. All around outstanding! We would come back!

York Minster Cathedral
All piercing spires and vaulted ceilings, York Minster is a masterpiece of Gothic architecture. The most important Anglican church outside London, this ancient cathedral dates back to the 12th century and houses some of the world’s finest medieval stained glass. While adults gaze in awe at its airy interior, youngsters can have fun hunting for the gargoyles that grace the façade.

Loved the location very central and very close to a Sainsbury’s local, especially enjoyed sitting on the balcony hearing York Minster chime, lovely, clean and modern. Liked having a key code instead of keys. Apartment had a washer/ dryer so no washing when we got home.
This hotel was located close to the main centre of York and close to York Minster. There is a variety of restaurants to choose from for lunch and dinner. Once we were relocated to a new room we had ample space and were comfortable. A special mention to the Manager Surender who attended to our requests in a discreet and professional manner.
Great location with lovely views of York Minster from my room. Still gives the impression of the great days of rail travel and the grand station hotels. Wonderful central staircase.
We stayed in the new modern wing, bed was comfortable, good lighting and room was well designed. Location couldn’t be more optimal…5 mins walk from train station and 7 mins into the City Centre, 12 mins to York Minster. Staff were friendly and helpful. Part of the York’s famous city walls was just across the road though much of it is currently closed for maintenance work. The hotel is a historical building with beautiful wood panelling and is well maintained.
It was comfortable, clean and a great comfy bedroom.

Wonderful historic guest house in a fabulous location right opposite York Minster. Staying here is like going back in time! The rooms are clean and the decor and furniture straight out of the 1700s!! The food is exceptional with a lovely cozy atmosphere in the restaurant. They say the hotel is haunted, well I swore I heard footsteps in my room in the early hours! Spooky and highly recommended.
This is a nice one bedroom apartment located near York Minster and Goodramgate. There were lots of great restaurants nearby and Shambles was just a 5 minute walk. Looked for the hotel with the mini fridge and the heater and this place exceeded my expectations. Staffs were accommodating. Will come back again!
