It was in a very central location in the village and there was no difficulty parking on the road. The room was very comfortable and newly decorated with all amenities you would expect for an overnight stay. The owner was very clear in the instructions for entry to the premises and she checked afterwards that we had enjoyed our stay. I would happily stay there again.

My room was splendid - large, with a handsome 4-poster bed The no.7 York Park and Ride bus stops right outside the hotel; a bonus, as I had expected to have to drive to the nearest Park and Ride location. The receptionist told me this, and gave me a useful printed timetable/map.

Breakfast was superb - kept us going for the whole day. We booked one evening meal and this was very good. A wide choice of 'specials' on the menu to choose from. Our room was comfortable and homely , beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean and very well-equipped.

The property offers limited free off-street parking but also has free non restricted parking in the two adjacent streets and frequent bus services to the centre pass the property regularly.

Short 20 minute walk into the Minster. Room was clean and the shower was excellent. Tea & coffee topped up daily but also available in the corridors for extras if needed. Helpful owners.
