Beautiful old house about 20 minutes walk to the centre of York. Our room was lovely but up very steep stairs in the old servants quarters which was ok for us but could be difficult for some. Lovely service and a nice breakfast.

Although the property is located a few kms from the town, the bus stop was located nearby and the bus ran regularly. We found the number 8 bus from Badger Hill shops to be quick, regular and convenient. We enjoyed a couple of local eateries, the Black Bull pub and Sylhety Lounge (Indian cuisine). The kitchen was great to be able to prepare a meal, and we were able to do a load of washing and hang it outside on the line. Thank you for a pleasant stay in the lovely city of York.
The property offers limited free off-street parking but also has free non restricted parking in the two adjacent streets and frequent bus services to the centre pass the property regularly.

We absolutely loved stopping at rosehips. The kids enjoyed every minute of it . After spending the day at York maze, what better way to wind down than stopping in a little home from home. Rosehips is very clean and bright, very well, though out with everything everyone would need. We will definitely be staying at this amazing place again in the future
Great stay , lodge was lovely & comfy , good location for us visiting York maze as a family. Lovely peaceful tranquillity stay and dog friendly added bonus.
