We love your bar are the two gentlemen on duty that night we’re just spectacular. We had been told no dinner table until 7.45 but did not advise us we could eat in the bar…….Tony took care of everything. Alex was also very prompt with requests and polite in our dealings. Great evening meal.

Whitby Abbey
Whitby is known for welcoming pooches of all types and sizes, and its coastal setting is ideal for stretching the legs of your best furry friend. The ruins of Whitby’s Benedictine abbey cast a dramatic silhouette atop the East Cliff, above the North Sea. Dogs are allowed into most parts of the grounds and they’ll love catching the sea breeze as you stroll by.

Very worthwhile visiting this incredible ruin.
Very worthwhile visiting this incredible ruin. This location, if not this church, was very important in the early English Saxon times. The centre you go through before going to the actual ruin is very informative and, in itself, is an historical monument. You don’t need to go up the 199 steps if you can’t manage them just drive around the back up Green Land park at the top. Makes great photography.

Beautiful from the outside but my word it's expensive to enter - over £20 for 2 adults. But St Mary's Church is next door, free to visit and most informative. Plus the view over the harbour and out to sea is jawdropping.

Possibly the most iconic abbey ruin on the planet.
Possibly the most iconic abbey ruin on the planet. Synonymous with Mary Shelley and all things Gothic, it’s position overlooking the harbour, connected via the famous 199 steps, is both beautiful and melancholic.

The staff were really helpful but the parking for the disabled and access to the entrance were not very well thought out for people with limited mobility. Having a metal hand rail in the hot sun was quite dangerous. The steps down from the carpark would be totally unsuitable for people in wheelchairs etc. I think you should have someone with disability experience when you were planning how people could access the event.

Excellent apartment. It's in a great location - just a couple of minutes stroll from the town centre but very peaceful at night. Really comfortable beds in good size bedrooms. A lovely modern feel in all rooms and the added bonus of a fantastic view of Whitby Abbey. Would happily book again.
Great value, parking available, and free ticket into Whitby Abbey! Worth up £15 for a on the day adult entry. Dorm room 18 has additional bathroom facilities nearby and YHA has fully equipped kitchen and lounge and reading areas. Everything I needed.
Perfect location, short walk to Whitby centre. Room very spacious with view of Whitby Abbey. Hosts Lynn and George very friendly and full of knowledge of the area and places to visit. Breakfast was fantastic.
We liked everything about this guest house and location.very clean and comfortable with lovely staff, didn't have the breakfast as I dont eat breakfast, it is located 5 minutes from the town centre with plenty of bars, restaurants, shops and arcades, boat rides and plenty to do for children, also close to Whitby Abbey, captain Cook and the beach.
The property is lovely with some amazing views and very kind staff. They have a lot of good food available. Fun fact there is a 100yr old postcard from this hotel in the whitby abbey museum!
Great location near centre with parking which is a must in Whitby. View of Whitby Abbey from landing window. Love coffee machine but take your own pods. Attractive apartment and well fitted. A lovely stay.
The location and parking were excellent. The views from the apartment were excellent and you could see across the moorings and into town. Also you could see Whitby Abbey on the hill. A simply stunning sight view that we enjoyed on each day.
The apartment was very comfortable and provided everything we needed for our four night stay. It was also handy to have a lift to move things around, as the apartment is on the third floor.
Great location, just a few minutes walk from the bus/train station, the river and the shops/restaurants. The view from the lounge window was superb- it’s called River View because of the view of the river but you can also see Whitby Abbey and the houses on the hillside opposite.
The apartment is well equipped and comfortable. The owners send information about the key, where to park etc and leave a little welcome pack of tea, coffee, sugar, milk and delicious biscuits. Much appreciated!
