Royal Shakespeare Theatre
The Royal Shakespeare Theatre is set in a prime location on the River Avon. With a capacity of over 1,000 showgoers, it puts on Shakespeare's many tragedies, comedies and histories. Guests can even wander upstairs before or after the show for dinner or al fresco cocktails at the funky Rooftop Restaurant.

I can't believe the difference it makes to one of Shakespeare's plays to see it performed at the RST! It's a beautiful theatre, with tons of atmosphere, and makes the plays come alive. One tip is to book (cheaper) seats at the side, in the circle, and the visibility is very good indeed.

Stages Shakespeare’s major plays.
Stages Shakespeare’s major plays. Quite good at big productions to suit a wider audience. Often big names. Good theatre, shop and refreshments. Big new tower to visit, and restaurant. Often have exhibitions. Good to go to any restaurant before or after a play.

This is a super little Guest House within easy walking distance of the town of Stratford on Avon and the Royal Shakespeare Theatre. We felt very safe walking back from the theatre late at night, in well-lit streets (about 12 minutes walk). The room was very clean and comfortable, and the hostess was lovely. A really good breakfast is included in the price, including a vegetarian option. I can't recommend this Guest House too highly. Parking in Straford was surprisingly easy and resonable if you wished to drive in.
The house was a lovely Victorian town house beautifully converted and five minutes walk from the Royal Shakespeare Theatre. It was tastefully decorated throughout, and all was spotless. The beds were comfortable and the room had en-suite, TV, and tea/coffee. Monika was a charming and friendly host and made us feel at home. Breakfast options were good and arranged at a time to suit us.
Good breakfast; nice outdoor seating at pub; comfortable bed in good sized bedroom; fantastic sized shower; good parking; convenient location for Royal Shakespeare Theatre; friendly staff
