The room was lovely, just the right size for what we needed. There was hot running water from the shower and complimentary tea and coffee in the room. The room was lovely and warm, although did get a bit hot at times, but then I’d rather have a warm room than a cold one. I enjoyed my stay here and would stay again. Excellent location.

The General Decor and in the room the balcony was good as was the general friendliness of the staff. I cannot say more as our 3 night 4 day break was so ruined by the serious faults and ommissions we experienced. When we had a complaint on finding our room had not been attended to at all we called to let the manager help but he was not available so we left a message with the duty supervisor that the manager should call us back. He did not contact us over the course of the next 3 days. We checked and were assured that he had received our message and a reminder from the staff. What a really bad attitude.

Location was a bit out of town, but we got a taxi to main centre rather than find parking in Newcastle. Other days we used our hire car to take day trips. Restaurant on site had good food, and it was great to have a bar available after a long day out. The restaurant closed early one night but the kitchen still cooked for us. Our room was located in the cottage and was a good size and comfortable. Would recommend this to anyone.
