Breakfast and dinner was good.
Bedroom/ bathroom and lounge area are very old fashioned and need updating and fresh paint and wallpaper.
Upholstery in the front lounge area is looking very tired and dirty looking. Not what you expect from a five star hotel.
Television is too small in the bedroom and we did expect to have a small fridge in and executive room.
Less than 200 metres from Eastbourne beach and opposite the Western Lawns, the The Lansdowne, Eastbourne has sea-facing lounges with original Victorian features and free Wi-Fi.

Amazing rooms, really cool pub, great food, great location at the base of the hill to Beachy Head. The photos do not do the room or pub justice. I’ve stayed in a few hotels in Eastbourne and won’t go anywhere else now I’ve found this place. Just fantastic! Ask for room 3 with the bath!
Location was brilliant. Right opposite the beach. Two mins walk to the Pier. Easy to get to the Downs and Beachy Head. Very dog friendly. Lovely large clean bedrooms Good breakfast. Brilliant staff. Highly recommend The Chatsworth
The room and bathroom were a great size for our family of 3.
The hosts were wonderful and inviting upon arrival.
All staff were friendly, helpful and accommodating, with a very lovely hairy assistant! (dog).
Breakfast was enjoyable with plenty to select from and easily fueled our walk up to beachy head.
Lovely breakfast - good variety in mixed fruit bowl, clean rooms. Owners made us feel welcome. The seaside decorations were a nice touch in the rooms. Reasonably easy to find a parking space on surrounding roads. Great location for walking along the waterfront, to pier and town centre, and up to Beachy Head.
Really location up the beachy head end of Eastbourne, good sea view and nice park and restaurant in front of hotel.
Staff great, breakfast was good, and for 3 of us the family room was great (1 adult, 1 baby, one 9 year old).
Great location, everything incl. Shopping, beach and beachy head is in walking distance. Everybody was friendly, Internet outage was taken care of imediately.
Room perfect (720) and a great view of Beachy Head. We were in the corner so very quiet. We stayed for a function and everyone we encountered from night porters, reception staff, events manager Mel and everyone in between were pleasent and a credit to the hotel.
Location was great, close to the sea. 15 mins walk to the pier and short drive to Beachy Head. Parking easy along the street outside. Permits paid £3 a day. Staff member was polite and helpful. Room on the whole was okay.
