Number 38 Clifton, hotel in Bristol

A contemporary boutique guest house set in a Georgian townhouse, Number 38 Clifton offers stylish rooms with views of the Clifton Downs or Bristol city centre.

Clean, trendy, stylish and modern, but with character. I had booked a twin room, when we arrived the booking was for a double but the member of staff on reception was quick to alter this for us. Room was spacious, nice beds with a large bathroom, with tub and shower. Breakfast was excellent and tables are arranged throughout lots of smaller downstairs rooms which makes for a relaxing and calm ambiance for your meal. We were able to park on the road immediately outside the hotel, and as it was the weekend this was free of charge, however maybe we were a tad fortunate to get should a good spot. There was a large park opposite the hotel and easy access to Bristol city centre. Half an hour walk down into town would have been pretty easy, however we got an Uber which arrived almost immediately.

Breakfast choice was excellent. Tables too close together. Very busy and noisy as a conference was going on. Comfy bed and we had nice cocktails from the bar. Good location.

Great location, very easy to get from Temple Meads station or into the city centre by bus. Clifton is idea for walking across the nearby suspension bridge to Ashton Court or to visit the observatory. Very friendly and helpful staff. I did not use the restaurant but it appeared busy.
