The location of this historic hotel is ideal. It faces the Palace of Fontainebleau and we had views of the Palace from our room. Our room has great - large and very comfortable bed and all the facilities that are needed. Viewing the Palace with heads on the pillows was quite special. Breakfast is extra but definitely recommended. Could not fault the breakfast. The sitting room is very tastefully done and a pleasant place to spend some time. The only suggestion here is perhaps to provide the option of a glass of wine to enjoy in this space. The staff were excellent - friendly, helpful and efficient. No restaurant but plenty of options in the town and visitors should certainly walk around the town.
Featuring free WiFi, a restaurant and a terrace, La Demeure Du Parc offers accommodation in Fontainebleau, 550 metres from Château de Fontainebleau. Guests can enjoy the on-site bar.

Very conveniently located in the heart of the town near the chateau and park
Lovely little town full of friendly people. The Chateau Fontainebleau was spectacular! My husband and I have toured Versailles twice, but always found it extremely crowded and so difficult to take things in, while being jostled by other guests. Fontainebleau was nothing like that at all. It IS a magnificent chateau, not to be missed in terms of size, architecture and beauty. What is missing is the crowds. Most of the time, we were alone in the rooms (save a few security guards). It made it so much more pleasant to be able to actually take our time and really look at things rather than being constantly jostled along by the crowds of tourists. If you are anywhere nearby, definitely take the time to see it.

Fontainebleau is easily the rival of Versailles, and the bonus is there are far less people squeezing around. The gardens are perfect for a stroll around the water features, people picnicking on the grass and exploring hidden gems within them. The Palace was amazing, without the gold bling of some but with vastly richer history and ornate features easily a match for anything.
The town clearly has a multitude of dining options, we got Italian from Pizza Mimi which was wonderful, and we found a quaint little church and some unique little shops in the short time after the Palace closed.
Skip the day-trip do yourself a favour and stay longer to properly explore everything this beautiful part of France just out of Paris has to offer.

We had a family break celebrating my 60th birthday on Easter Sunday and we met up with family who live nearby. There is plenary to do for the Easter break in the hotel. They provide everything you need and more. Lovely feel staff friendly. We didn’t eat food as we did our own celebrations but it looked lovely and well laid out. I would happily stay here again.

We took the tourist train thru the gardens to get our orientation, then did our own walk. Even in October it was a great walk.
Did a self guided tour of the chateau with an audio guide - much better with the guide than it would have been without. Some amazing history explained!
The shops, restaurants & the walk ability were all great.

The chateau is enormous with some of the best rooms I have ever seen. Lots of history particularly about Napoleon with many of his personal items. Extensive gardens to explore.
The town has numerous shops and restaurants.

My visit to Fontainebleau was to watch the Ladies Real Tennis World Championships in the Chateau. Great event , hotel was close by . The staff in the restaurants visited were all great , despite a busy Easter week with great weather and lots of tourists . Dined at both lower price and higher price restaurants .
The hotel is few meters from Château de Fontainebleau and the location is a big win of course. But in addition to that, the hotel has a very innocent village atmosphere. Pleasant. Simple and light room décor. Very relaxing. Dining room is very cozy and with a great view to the Château. The staff, which I guess are the owners, were very nice. The breakfast lacked a bit of variety, but was in a good quality. I liked the smoked salmon and the baked food like bread and croissants were delicious.
This hotel was literally across from the Chateau Fontainbleau, yet was actually not overpriced for what they delivered. It was very quiet, the room was quite spacious, and there was a beautiful courtyard. It was in walking distance of the town center, with access to restaurants, and shops, not to mention an excellent seafood restaurant literally across the street.
It was located in a lovely enclave really close to the castle (2 minutes away) and not far from INSEAD either (15 min). The communal areas were clean and well-maintained, and it was lovely and warm. The apartment was well-stocked with kitchen utensils. The window/ledge gave a lovely view of part of Fontainebleau. The Wifi was consistent and helpful.
The location is very convenient: close to INSEAD and the city centre and the castle. The hotel is situated on a very quiet street, some of the rooms (and luckily mine) have a view on a charming and green garden, which could also be used by residents. The bedding and shower were comfortable and in mint condition. The breakfast was good.
The location of the apartment was great, easy walk to both the Chateau de Fontainebleau and the town centre. The facilities were as described. Perfect base for a solo weekend or as a couple to explore the area. Shower had impressive temperature and nice pressure. Excellent communication from host.
Great location for the chateau visit. The 2-star hotel felt more like a 3-star. We didn't try the breakfast since a charming cafe was just 1 min walk away. Would stay there again, if needed to visit Fontainebleau palace again, which itself is a great destination.
The hotel is modern and clean. It had plenty of parking when we visited. The location is ideal and a short walk to Fontainebleau. The automated check in was useful when we arrived a little early.
We loved our stay at Demeure Les Aiglons. Our room
was spacious, comfortable and clean. The property is lovely and in a perfect location to explore Fontainebleau.
location was great, next to Chateau Fontainebleau, restaurants, bar and downtown.
Breakfast had all we needed and good, although not included. Quirky and quaint
