Excellent location. 15 minute walk from train station, in the centre of the town next to the cathedral. Good size room overlooking the market place. A market would arrive every morning amazing to look out onto. No noise from setting up the market or cathedral bells. great sound proofing.

Schlossberg
If you want to see Freiburg from on high, Schlossberg Hill is just the ticket. This hulking, tree-covered mound forms part of the Black Forest and can be reached in three minutes by funicular train. There’s also an observation tower if you want to go higher. You could even walk up – at least there’s a beer garden to quench your thirst once you reach the summit.

Close Freiburg Old & Schloßberg - conveniently locatation whether it’s for hiking nearby trails or exploring the city. Didn’t even have to take public transport- explored the whole place by foot.

Wonderful little hotel in a fantastic location right on Münsterplatz. They brilliantly catered for our two year old, providing crib and bedding. Breakfast was excellent. An ideal base to explore the city, with parking in Schlossberg really nearby (€27 per day).
Nice apartment in a fabulous location, next to the Stadtgarten . Good facilities in the apartment overall. The city centre was an easy walk away and so was the Schlossberg hill overlooking the city. Freiburg is a beautiful city and we had a fantastic stay.
Quaint old villa hotel stuffed full of artworks and friendly staff. Nice decorative touches throughout, beautiful breakfast, great location close to the city centre or the Schlossberg. Three stops by tram from the train station, or a 15' walk.
This is a good alternative to downtown hotels - on the wooded slopes of the Schlossberg it is only a short climb from the oldtown. The view from the hotel and the breakfast room is nice and the quality and variety of the breakfast buffet deserves a special commendation.
The location was good, just next to the old town. We came by train, so little bit walk from the train station. Schlossberg was in a walking distance and many restaurants near.

Amazing location, looking out onto a vineyard and with immediate hiking access to the Schlossberg. Under a 10 minute walk to get to the heart of the Altstadt. Great atmosphere and crowd, met some really cool people here. Free luggage storage on the day of arrival and departure. Spacious rooms, comfortable mattresses, and large lockers. A great kitchen to store your food and cook. Really nice to have a piano and table tennis table in the common area.
