A lot of the advertised animals are missing.
A lot of the advertised animals are missing. No Kangaroos, Wombats, the Bird Aviary is closed for maintenance. There are a number of chimpanzees and meerkats but not much else. The eatery is nice and has reasonably priced meals of good quality.

Here is a big surprise for all to know, the Zoo in Rockhampton's Botanical gardens area, is FREE to enter!! A small donation is considered fair, as the money raised via donations, goes to the care and welfare of the animals and shelters within the zoo facility.
The range of animals is quite unique, Chimpanzees, Meerkats, Koalas, Kangaroos, Emu's, the list goes on. Do yourself a favor and take the kids and your family to see this wonderful site.
