Yeppoon Beachhouse

Yeppoon

Located directly across the road from a beautiful beach with views across the Keppel Islands, Yeppoon Beachouse offers budget accommodation in the scenic sea-side village of Yeppoon, 40 minutes' drive from the centre of Rockhampton.

The nearest airport is Rockhampton Airport, 40 km from the hostel. The accommodation was excellent and we were upgraded to a private room on arrival which was a real treat and very kind of the staff who were exemplary. It had a very modern feel and was very easy to access.

Cool Bananas Backpackers

Agnes Water

Just a 5-minute walk from the beach, Cool Bananas Backpackers features surf lessons and rental surfboards. A bar and BBQ facilities are also provided. Free WiFi is available in public areas.

The hostel offers modern dormitory rooms with access to shared bathroom facilities. A great place to stay if you want to relax, learn surfing and go on walks and hikes. The hostel is kept very clean and the staff are doing a great job! There are a lot of good hang out-spots around the hostel and the main beach is only a 10 min walk away. The place is quite during nights and usually through out the day aswell, so it’s not a party place/hostel and you won’t really be bothered by noise. The doorms have a lot of space, and if you are on the second floor you get extra wind thru the room. If you are dependent on internet, 4G with Optus is much better. This is not really a place where you want to spend your time on a screen. Rather explore and enjoy the beautiful place. The greyhound bus is currently the only direct bus to Agnes Water or you could book a taxi for a stiff price. But the place and hostel is worth it. Also the hostel might help you with a shuttle from the Premier Bus stop, if they have the oppurtunity. Would recommend to stay 3+ nights to get to see the whole place, as many miss a lot. We booked for 5 nights, ended up staying for almost two weeks!

Rockhampton Backpackers YHA

Rockhampton

Rockhampton backpackers offers accommodation in Rockhampton.

Each room is equipped with a private or shared bathroom.

You can play billiards at the hostel. Rockhampton Airport is 5 km from the property. The manager is very cool and kind person. She is trying her very best to keep the place well organized abd smoothly funtcional. This is not only the cheapest hostel in the entire Australia - but maybe also the most well thought one. During my stay I really had this feeling that the lady was running this hostel more for humanitarian, rather than commercial reasons. Defenetly a stay to remember...
