THis facility is EXCELLENT!!! What a dream of a place to relax and vacation. Mother Nature provided rain for many days but we were comfortable, well taken are of and enjoyed the clean indoor pool and sauna. Gorgeous grounds, fantastic breakfast and afternoon "Kaffee und Kuchen" with delights backed by Margareta (the owner) herself. This is a family operated hotel and restaurant and we were truly spoiled. They all went above and beyond helping us (when our rental car would not start), catered to our needs for our 93 year old mother and were always kind, friendly and accommodating. The restaurant on the property called the Mostschenke im Heustadl and provides a five star Austrian experience in dining. The family has been on this property since the 1600's and have up-dated and built the hotel in the last ten - twelve years. The Mostschenke is the renovated cattle barn and it a delightful venue for dining. The Hotel is clean, bright and the two bedroom chalet suite is a dream for a family vacation. Super location, spa, breakfast

It was a convenient, confortable, cost-wise hotel in a wonderful location. There are some restaurants in the area.

An excellent family-run hotel, and its restaurant is excellent too. The breakfast is of superb quality and offers a huge selection of everything you could want, including non-dairy milk, which I appreciated. The WiFi is good and is secured with a password. Many of the rooms have a balcony, which I really appreciated having. The hotel is very convenient to reach by train (to Ebensee Landungsplatz) and is a good place to set out from on walks into the mountains. There's a lovely lido with good facilities at Rindbach, about twenty minutes' walk from the hotel, where you can swim in the Traunsee, and also a spot near the hotel, reached on foot by a subway (underpass) under the main road, where you can get to the Traunsee (with a diving board!). I would be very happy to stay here again. Ebensee is full of history about the production of salt which you can find out about from the town trail and the museums, part of the story of this region's export of salt using the Traun to transport it.

Breakfast spread par to none we enjoyed and ever so friendly and helpful staff. The location on the shore of the Traunsee and easy access to the lakes of the Salzkammergut. Would highly recommend the boat trip around the lake and a must visit to Gmunden on one end of the lake with its castles and villas of the nobility’s of now and past. Not to forget a visit to Hallstatt and the summer residence of the Emperor’s of Austria and Hungary in Bad Ischl. Salzburg the birthplace of Mozart with a visit to the castle and the list goes on.
