Tiffin Hill
The modern aesthetic with large windows allows you to enjoy both the scenic daytime views of the Tararua Ranges and the spectacular night sky from Wairarapa's Dark Sky Reserve! Watching sunrises, sunsets, lightning storms, shooting stars, the Milky Way, and various aerial sightings like planes and hot air balloons will make your stay a truly unforgettable experience. The perfect home to relax, connect to nature, and marvel at the wonders above. The home is fully equipped with everything you need to enjoy a peaceful relaxing stay. A chef-designed kitchen with double ovens, gas cooking, and a built-in coffee machine A separate media room with board games, 77 inch TV and an arcade machine with hundreds of games The large living room corner doors slide open to a covered outdoor area making it a fantastic way to bridge the indoor and outdoor spaces seamlessly. This design not only creates a spacious entertaining area but also allows for a refreshing outdoor experience without compromising the views. Having a large outdoor table and chairs for al fresco dining while admiring stunning sunsets makes for delightful evenings spent together. Please note - The master bedroom was designed around the landscape. The large tinted windows and sliding doors offer an incredible view of the shooting stars and the Milky Way, providing a dreamy ambiance for falling asleep looking at the night sky. Therefore the window seat and the walk-in robe window are the only windows with blinds to control light and privacy. It’s good to be aware that the Wairarapa weather extremes can influence the room's temperature. Important - the exterior landscaping is not complete and you are driving on a gravel road and steep gravel driveway - See pictures
We’re a husband and wife from the beautiful Wairarapa. We absolutely love traveling and meeting people from all walks of life!
Wairarapa is a region of spectacular coastlines, wide valleys and small towns. It's known for its vineyards, gourmet food, walking and cycling trails - and a vibrant arts scene. All about an hour's drive or train ride from Wellington. If you love tramping or camping, a trip to the scenic Waiohine Gorge or Mount Holdsworth should definitely be on your list, or experience the thrill of rafting white water rapids on the Waiohine River with Wellington Rafting. See endangered wildlife, walk through the fantastic free flight aviary or take a tour at Pukaha National Wildlife Centre. Greytown has it all - fashion, homeware, quirky antique stores, art shops and bric-a-brac, with each shop reflecting the personality of its owners. Step back in time at the charming Cobblestones Museum - a historic village with an old-fashioned schoolhouse, church, fire station, hospital and much more. Schoc Chocolates beautifully hand-crafted and deliciously smooth chocolate from fairly sourced beans with over 85 flavours. Shop for fine wines, local gin, and spirits at Aperitif Wine Shop. Martinborough is famous for its 20-odd vineyards, most within walking or cycling distance of the village square. It's packed with colonial charm, and criss-crossed with walking and cycle tracks to explore. And if you're after some coastal excitement, Featherston is a departure point for Lake Ferry and Cape Palliser. An exciting drive takes in steep cliffs, signs of an 800-year old Māori settlement, tiny Ngawi fishing village before bringing you to Cape Palliser Lighthouse, New Zealand fur seal colonies, surf beaches, swimming, fishing, diving and Māori legends.
