Comfortable holiday home in the historic center, equipped with n. 3 double bedrooms + a sofa bed, plus living room with cooking area. Equipped for a pleasant holiday in the heart of the city (30 meters from Via Vittorio Emanuele), it is also available for smaller groups as rent rooms. The street is pedestrian and Arimatea Accommodations is located in front of a private garden that makes it charming and silent. Recently restored and equipped with all essential comforts (heating and air conditioning), it is tastefully furnished with antique or salvaged furniture, without losing that personal touch of the host.
It will be a pleasure to reveal hidden corners of the city, or monuments that are less known or far from the traditional tourist circuit. As a good traveler, every new city must be lived along its alleys, entering every entrance hall and courtyard of the accessible buildings (240 noble palaces are listed in the historic center as well as around 300 Oratories, Churches and religious convents). It will be my care to suggest places where you can have a good drink and at the same time admire panoramas and particularities, or trattorias and restaurants where the old flavors of Sicilian cuisine are still enhanced today.
Arimatea Accommodations is located a few steps from the ancient Cassaro, the 16th century street that connected the Royal Palace with the ancient port of Cala, today it's a pedestrian street and cradle of the Arab-Norman UNESCO World Heritage Site. Behind the structure is Piazza S. Chiara, located along the medieval paths of the ancient city and close to the colorful and folkloristic Ballarò Market, a unique experience of flavors and smells as in the Arab souks. The city, in fact, combines the architecture of the French and Spanish aristocracy together with the "popular" birth of the Arab and Norman neighborhoods, where the culture of street food has always been established.
