Here is your chance to spend some days by the sea in a villa within a beautiful green garden full of pine trees and olive trees. Fifty meters from the seashore, within a garden of one acre (4.000 m2), you can breathe the sea breeze and enjoy nature, privacy and calmness and just 500 meters from a cosmopolitan beach with sport facilities. Two kms from the village Drosia and 7 km from the town of Halkida, which is 80 kms from Athens, by car (national road), bus (1 h) or train (90 min). The villa has a ground floοr with an independent door and entrance which is reserved for the host (whether present or not). The place available for rent is an independent house on the first floοr including an attic apartment. The first floor has a large living room and dinning room, a fully equipped kitchen, two bedrooms with double beds, a bathroom and a staircase leading to the attic apartment. The house has two big verandas, front and back and a roof terrace to be used by the guests. The front verandas have view to the garden and sea. Visitors can also use the whole garden of the house, one acre garden with trees, vegetation and water showers.
I was born in Athens. I am 57 years old and consider myself as open minded, responsible and humorous. Professionally, I work in the therapeutic field and I am involved in the arts, especially in theatre. I have lived and studied in Brussels, London and New York. I live in the centre of Athens with my partner Alexia and Courtina, our cat. We love travelling (except of our cat) both in Greece and in different parts of the world, meeting people and exploring new landscapes. Old books, cinema, theatre, yoga, swimming, water ski are some of my interests. The neighbourhood combines calm nature and privacy with access to a cosmopolitan beach (500 m distance) if you need action, sports and nightlife. Also at 10-15 minutes driving distance you can reach picturesque small villages and beaches with tavernas and restaurants. The town of Halkida offers the options of a big contemporary city and sight-seeing. The town is connected to the mainland Greece by two bridges, the "Sliding Bridge" in the west at the narrowest point of the Euripus Strait and a suspension bridge. A special tidal phenomenon takes place in the strait, as strong tidal currents reverse direction once every six hours, creating strong currents and maelstroms. Halkida, the nearest town (7 km): Hospital, Churches, Archaelogical Museum, Medieval castle, Art galleries, shopping and restaurants. Drosia, the nearest village (2 km): marketplace, fresh local greenery, fish and meat, local tavernas with delivery service you can use from the villa. St Minas (4 km): picturesque little harbour with fish tavernas by the sea. Chapel of Holy Mary (1 km): 20 min walking, in the nearest little harbour, from which you can rent a boat and visit the island ahead(Eglezonisi or Chtiponisi)
