We were told by friends not to go to Eretria, that the beaches were not very nice- with alot of seaweed and rocks. We did not listen to them and were very pleasantly surprised by the nice sandy-bottomed sea waters. Sure there are some beaches with seaweed and rocks, but we found very nice beaches that were walking distance from our hotel/apartment. We stayed in the most convenient location at the Sun Rise Hotel Apartments and everything was within a 5 to 7 minute walk- ie. the beach and pedestrian walk-way where all the tavernas and restaurants are located. We had very nice pizza, pasta and crepes at the "Hot Chili Crepes" and very nice souvlakia and stake at "Anti Peina". We will definitely be back and explore the area more!

If you search for a quiet place, with no crowded driving and parking problems, on an island with all kind of landscape, 1 hour far away from Athens airport, Eretria can be a solution. Especially good for families with children. On other side, the sandy beaches are scarse but you can go at hotels beaches in the area. From Eritrea it is easy to visit all the island, the second one of Greece.

Great food, great restaurants, lovely people.
Great food, great restaurants, lovely people.
Eretria specific: Give Roberts souvlaki grill a try, amazing pita gyros at a price that makes you feel like you are stealing from them!
Eretria is a hidden gem, the whole of Euboea is an unknown gem.
Absolute perfection for me, cheap flight to Athen intl' airport, hire a car, drive 45mins north to Evia (Euboea) You can find touristy stuff, lots of Greek history, spa's, hotels, resorts, mountains, beaches, whatever floats your boat.

Very nice city, with a promenade full of restaurants and coffee, leading to a private island. You can have food at 4 meter from the beach and you can also enjoy the swimming and being served directly by the restaurant around. Eritrea also has some small archeological sites that can be visited

We were a little bit surprised about Eretria.
We were a little bit surprised about Eretria. We expected to visit a touristic place with nothing around and very limited restaurants.
However, this is definitely not true eretria is a very nice small city with a very nice beach and small boulevard. There are lots of restaurants.
There are different things to do around Eretria, but you need a car to travel around.
I spent eight days in Eretria and this place was the best value for money, cleanest, great sea view.
I wish I could have stayed longer.
A beautifully arranged and maintained location, in a quiet area, with a superb view of the sea.
Besides all this, the owners are very welcoming and attentive.
We were pleasantly impressed in all chapters!
Everything was beyond expectations. The pictures posted are real. I highly recommend this accommodation!
We would like to thank the hosts for the kindness with which they received us.
My husband and I had an excellent experience at the hotel. The staff members were very accommodating and really friendly! The room was exceptionally clean and the view was amazing! We also enjoyed the breakfast buffet very much although we had a little too much to eat... There were many delicious options. Overall our experience was excellent and we will definitely return in the future.
Our room was immaculately clean and full of personality. We felt at home and not like we were in a hotel. I especially loved the vintage bathroom tile which added to the room's retro and charming atmosphere. Diamanto's rooms are right in the town center and within walking distance to the beach, restaurants, and cafés but it is very quiet and peaceful.
Wonderful house, very good for 2-3 families. Wonderful terrace and nice garden. New furniture, very well chosen. All necessary appliances. The pine smell of the nearby forest is amazing. Very quiet location. We had all things necessary for the stay there. A nearly new house with better conditions than at hotel.
That is a lovely, seaside Hotel. The rooms were big enough and the staff was very welcoming and friendly. The restaurant was nice, the pool is good enough and the rooms are tidy. Highly recommended for a family stay. Hotel is not a new one but still, it was maintained well and nothing is broken.
Overall super friendly staff! Always with a smile. Clean hotel rooms. Also clean restaurant and outside garden!
Uncomplicated reception, helped us with some booking problems.
Parking is for free.
Small waterpark next to the hotel.
Usable kanu/kayak and on water sport activities.
We loved everything about the hotel, the location, the room and its 'sunrise' view, the fireplace and exceptional kindness of the staff.
The hotel is very well done, with beautiful garden and pool and simple but right facilities. The room was crispy clean.
Nice room
good breakfast, lunch and dinner (we stayed 5 days so it was good, we would have liked if they changed the menu a bit more from one day to another)
Nice bar service (we had booked the all inclusive package )
The beach was nice and clean
Nice pool areas, green all around, garden is very well Kept.
good breakfast and close to nearby villages by car for dining.
The staff is very friendly and helpful.
The pools are spotless
Very nice house just 50 meters from the beach. Quiet place for relaxation and only 5 minutes driving from the center of Eretria. Perfect option for a family of 4 or two couples.
Great hotel with a variety of activities for all family. All inclusive package is a must as it offers you everything you need during the day. I ll revisit for sure.
Very rich and good breakfast buffet - this was the best feature of the hotel. Facilities are spacious. Staff, as usually in Greece, very friendly and helpful.
The hotel is very clean and staff is amazing!
Beach side was beautiful as well the pool. No issue with the food at all!
I would recommend this hotel!!!
The renovation was very well done. Everything looks clean, well-kept, and spacious. The Buffay breakfast was better than hotels three times as expensive
