Maslina House is a traditional stone villa situated on the outskirts of Drossia village near the capital of Euboea Island, Chalkida. The house is approximately a 1 hour drive away from the center of Athens (80km) and the Athens International Airport (100km).
As an interior designer and antiques dealer I tried to combine my knowledge and expertise when building this house. It is built in the traditional way using grey Lamia stone and salvaged roof tiles, in the same style as houses in this area have been built for centuries. The furnishings and decorations come from all over the world.
The village of Drossia, a short drive from the house, has all the amenities needed for a quiet holiday: taverns, coffee houses, super markets, a fishmonger, a butcher, bakeries, pharmacies, a general doctor and a dentist. There are numerous beaches around the area, such as a very long sandy Alikes beach (8 mins by car), which offers beach bars, sun beds, and various beach activities. There are also many smaller beaches around, Valopoula Beach being only a short walk away from the house (10min walk).
