The house is a two-storey exposed natural stone building recently renovated with all modern comforts and converted into two flats, each with its own separate entrance. The exposed external natural stone walls allow you to enjoy the mild climate while contemplating the breathtaking views. The ground floor, which sleeps 6, has 2 double bedrooms, a large living room that sleeps two, a fireplace, a fully equipped kitchen with fridge, oven and ceramic hob, washing machine, flat-screen TV and free WiFi. I am originally from this village, and the house you are about to visit is intended to be the ideal retreat for me when I finally retire. Unfortunately, I don't live there all year round because I teach at a Technical University in Brussels, mainly in management with a focus on strategy, I'm a visiting professor at a university and a management researcher. I'm also a sworn translator. In my work, I'm a fairly Cartesian person, so my hobbies are purely creative. I love music, from Greek (rebetiko) to contemporary and opera. I love travelling and I'm passionate about aviation in all its forms. When I have the time, I devour documentaries, historical works and travel guides. My favourite sport is swimming - the island is full of beautiful beaches - and any sport that requires strategy. My friends and colleagues speak of me as an extraordinary person... THE VILLAGE, A HAVEN OF PEACE The village of Orologion is built on the slope of a green hill with olive and fruit trees (Kimi figs, oranges, mandarins, lemons, peaches, apricots, etc.) on the banks of the Orologiati stream. on the banks of the Orologiati stream. The 200 or so inhabitants of the village work in agriculture and, in recent years, the village has become a jewel with the return of some of its residents. Life in the area unfolds at a leisurely pace, reminiscent of the simple old days... EXCURSIONS IN THE SURROUNDING AREA The village of Orologion is an ideal starting point for nature walks, excursions by car, jeep or bicycle. Vehicles can be hired for trips to the mountains or the beach. Manikia, a popular climbing spot, is 5 km away. 6 to 8 km further on are some of the most beautiful beaches in Evia, including Stomio, Mourteri and Kalamos, a protected bay ideal for families, as well as many other beaches offering a wide range of water sports. In the surrounding area, there are many sites of natural, historical and folkloric interest. Please do not hesitate to contact me for further information.
