A cosy 2-bedroom slate mountain cottage in the heart of the Snowdonia National Park, at the foot of the mountains. Located in the small town Tanygrisiau, the cottage has popular hiking routes from the doorstep, or it’s a 30 min drive to Snowdon, Y Glyderau and Y Carneddau. The flat has 2 bedrooms, a king & twin room, fully equipped kitchen, shower wet room & toilet, and a cosy lounge with a fireplace, sofa & Smart TV. If you’re looking for a mountain escape, you’ve found it!
Hey, I'm James! I live and work as a startup founder in London, but I love to travel and use (almost) every day I'm not working to explore and discover new places. I'm a keen hiker and climber, and often travel up to my cottage in Snowdonia (which I share with other travellers) for a weekend in the mountains.
Tanygrisiau is a small hamlet, next to the larger town Blaenau Ffestiniog. Most hiking trails in the region start from Tanygrisiau so it benefits from direct access and is a quiet, friendly neighbourhood. Parking is free opposite the property in the yard. The area is best explored by car. There are bus and train routes from the property (bus) or nearby Blaenau Ffestiniog (train).
